Dealership sold me a 2004 Nissan Titan in 06, vehicle was sold as certified used car according to paperwork I still retain. Had some unusual repairs, didn't understand until I later carfaxed the Vin and found this vehicle had been in an accident in Maine prior to my purchase. In Maine the law has stiff penalties for selling a previously damaged vehicle without disclosure, as pontd out to me by another Nissan dealer in Sanford Maine, he also said that it is not uncommon for those vehicles to be sold to NH where there is less specific law pertaining to disclosure. I called dealership on this and was told that, and this is direct quote, "just don't tell anyone looking to buy it from you" which is apparently their business motto. Dan Forget refused to come to mediation with Autocap or acknowledge an issue with this sales practice, currently have court date with this dealership to see what the next step will be. Carfax report shows current value of vehicle is decreased by $2500 due to this accident, this is a substantial percentage of current vehicle value. Nissan's website states that certified used vehicles are " gauranteed to be better than other used cars." "a carfax history must be provided" This vehicle was sold at fairly high price, orig MSRP was around $24K, asking was $20K for used vehicle. One would think at that price range, the dealeship could do better than to buy previously damaged vehicles and pass them off as quality used cars
