Dr. (Mrs.) Grace Johnson falsely claims to be the Registrar of Spiritan University Nneochi (SUN) in Abia State, Nigeria and Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Okojie falsely claims to be a Staff of the University Registrar. The name and phone number of Mrs. Johnson appears in a job ad published in www.jobspace.co.za as Dr. (Mrs.) Grace Johnson 08039171568 and Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Okojie’s phone number 07065736991 appears in another ad which reads: "Spiritan University, Nneochi Abia State 2018/2019 Supplementary form is out call 07065736991” published in nigeriamessageboard.com. I called Mrs. Okojie who gave me Mrs. Johnson’s phone number. I called Mrs. Johnson and she asked me to send my application letter, CV and relevant credentials to [email protected] which I promptly did and a text message was sent to my phone number with the sender titled: SPIRITAN UN which read as follows: "HELLO ONYEKE OSITADIMMA BRIAN, YOUR APPLICATION WITH REF. NO: SPU/FOM/EMGT/2891 HAS BEEN RECIEVED. YOU WILL BE NOTIFY LATER FOR FURTHER INFORMATION.” Mrs. Johnson then called me to confirm my receipt of the above SMS and asked me to call her back for further information which I did. When I called back she began to tell me that the Head of the Department (Estate Management) where I applied for lectureship position is entitled to 2 slots and already has 1 slot, therefore I should pay the sum of N250,000 (two hundred and fifty thousand naira) for the 2nd and remaining slot and also that my starting salary would be N320,000 (three hundred and twenty thousand naira) per month with free accommodation within the University Campus. Then I ask her if it was possible to secure a position in the Department without being on the HOD’s slot and she said it was impossible because over 5,000 candidates have applied for the same position in the Department. I ended the call by telling her that I would think about it and get back to her. Later, I called the Vice Chancellor of Spiritan University Nneochi (SUN) whom I know personally for verification and he said he does not know any Dr. (Mrs.) Grace Johnson nor Dr. (Mrs.) Joy Okojie and that I should come to the University to submit my application, CV and credentials for job consideration. This was how I knew these publications are SCAM.
