I was interested in getting a sponsorship for my 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS. I sent in an application and received prompt response. They said that if I send $199 via amazon that they would secure me a sponsorship. They explained that the $199 was for a rendering of a design for the car. I foolishly believed that this was the case and promptly sent the money. I should have know better because the representative who gave his name as Mitchel McCoy was very rude. Once in a while Mr. McCoy would send me a text message in an attempt to placate me and show token effort. When I finally got fed up with this song and dance, I sent a written letter requesting the return of my money as well as all the things that they sent me per the satisfaction guarantee policy via US First Class Certified Mail. I then called Mr. McCoy to which he again had an excuse and became belligerent with me and hung up on me. I have not heard a word from anyone in this company and my phone calls and emails have been ignored. This company is a scam and needs to be shut done. I would take great pleasure in being part of any class action lawsuit against this company.

All you, "Mitchell McCoy," or anybody else had to do was contact me in any form in a timely fashion and I would have been more than happy to not bother myself with this tedious waste of my valuable time. The facts are that my numerous attempts to reach anyone at this "company" were in vain. Here are some more facts. This is the letter that I included with the promotional material that I returned:

Dear Mr. McCoy:

I am writing to request a full refund of the amount paid to secure your services under the auspices of the thirty day money back guarantee. In this package you will find the contents of the initial welcome kit that I received.

I have found through this experience lack luster representation at best. The last communication that I received was on October 25, 2012 and I was guaranteed further communication by the next day.

This was eclipsed by the statement made at the onset of our business by the statement that I would be supplied with catalogs after the first week and would be starting to receive goods and services by the third week. So far the only promise that has been kept is that of sending the enclosed welcome package.

When I was initially contacted there was a great sense of urgency and belligerent rush for my prompt payment of one hundred ninety nine dollars, but there was no reciprocity in terms of prompt service. In fact, as I have already stated, I have had little to no contact with you. I am as well in the customer service industry; I do understand how demanding it can be. The one thing I fail to understand is the complete lack of communication that has been inherent in this venture.

As I have already stated, the intended purpose of this letter is to solicit full refund of my payment in as prompt a manner as you had received it. I can be contacted in writing at the above listed address; I can also be contacted by phone at (219) 765-8709 or by email
at [email protected].

Sincerely,

Eric Skalka"
This was sent via USPS Certified First Class Mail. This is the receipt:Ripoffreport Report Image

For those of you can not read this the USPS tracking number is 9502 8000 0562 2309 0000 30. I also reference your companies own policy of 30 day money back guarantee and disclaimer that states:

"*Sponsored Whips can NOT guarantee a separate corporation, manufacturer, and aftermarket companies response in request for car sponsorship. However, our main goal is guiding our valued clients/members through the path leading to full Car Sponsorship!

** 30 Day Money Back Guarantee from date of application.

***Refund Request MUST be submitted via writing/by US (carrier) mail!

****Approving written proposal/resume/(CBA), &/or accepting a sponsor, parts, or gear voids refund request. (if tee-shirt or decal kits are received by client, SW reserves the right to take the cost of said items out of refund amount, or unworn/unused items may be mailed back.)"

If we are to base my claim for a refund based strictly off of this, then the clock started on October 13, 2012 at 9:02 PM CST when the email went out to [email protected] to which I recieved a response. If we are to base the beginning of the count down on the money back policy on the time that the money was sent, then that would be October 13, 2012 at 10:35 PDT. The Amazon transaction ID #: 179DJ3H3M1OLERK1JR49R6FG34KH4ZBFKVF.

Now let us get to the bottom of this rebuttal. First, I did not send you a money order, I sent you a transfer of funds via Amazon (a serious lapse of judgement). Second, I gave you ample time in good faith to deliver on your promises. You promised to have catalogs to my house within one week and product within three weeks. None of which happened. Third, your customer service is a joke. I work in retail in the automotive industry no less. If I was to tell my customer that I would call them back within an hour and have no contact with that customer for a week, I would no longer have a customer. Finally, the money back guarantee; you made a promise at the beginning of service. This promise came with conditions, conditions that I followed to a letter including the provision of accepting a proposal. I never did accept the proposal because it was the most generic piece of fluff that I had ever seen and addressed none of my concerns that I expressed.

Bottom line, I just want my money back. I really care about nothing more. I followed your policy, now it is your turn. Until that time I will be spending a significant portion of my time writing letters to the editors of ever large news paper in the nation, contacting every major media outlet, writing the Delaware States Attorney, and writing my own politicians in an attempt to make your doing "legitimate business" more difficult.
