Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Here it is Christmas eve, our first together, which should be a joyful n celebrated time in our lives. Instead we sit in an empty house with no food n without things we need. Theres no tree or decorations, no gifts, or dinner with loved ones here. instead we hide n PRAY for our CHRISTmas mirracle since stan kock n sons trucking basicly ruined our precious marriage n lives together.

My husband, KEVIN ,has been a great n dedicated driver for near 7 years now, NEVER,having any problems with work before The previous company wanted all drivers to go to op.

Kevin ,loyaly switched to koch n sons in june of this year. We were wed on aug 02 n i started riding with him n witnessing how these people were using n abusing their drivers.

The first thing i noticed was that they were shorting his paychecks each week. However, the thing that upset me even more was the fact that a crazy fleet manager, juan, would always be sending kevin contrading orders. he:d say to go one place & my husband would already have the order delivered but this juan would put across the qualcom, call me right now n when kevin did juan would be yealling why havent you delivered your load, then he;d say o i got you mixed up with another driver. [several times]

The company was always sending wrong directions. this juan guy would say do not call the customer, to call him, but hed get actualy outraged if bothered.

Kevin tried going thru night dispatch to remedy the sitution, but that only made this juan guy madder. [mad n rude n disrespectful enough that i heard him in places back of truck n in store etc.] it was embarring for both of us.

Kevin is the type of person that gives his all in everything he does. koch n sons pushed him to the limit, refusing extremely needed time off to care for legal matters. due to the fact that koch gave him FORCE ORDERS we ended up losing large home n beautiful belongings in st louis.

Koch NEVER did the entire time there issue requested medical cards n my husband almost stroked out.

Koch took out pet fees , even after paid in full, even sent us a 2 week check for $3.01 taking out $500 AGAIN for pet fees.

I could write you endlessly on our terror event with koch, but point should be made. the co. terminated him wrongly after all THEIR abuse.

N ow they are refusing to pay unemployment n we believe blackballing him as hes always had a good n outstanding record before kock n now cant get a job.

Someone please help us, we are stuck because of koch n sons. they put us homeless once n are about to do it again. please if this co. has ruined your life also, or you are an attorney willing to help please contact us asap.

I;M ONE HURT N ANGRY WIFE HERE IN KEOKUK---ANGRY WITH KOCH !

My husbands report n others above.

I am a trucker,17 years now.I have never driven for Koch. But my wife does. She make $59,000 last year,2012.So Im not sure what went wrong with your husbands experience.

She started out with Juan as her fleet manager. This is where I have a problem with your story.Juan according to my wife,is a fleet manager for dedicated accounts only.He has been running the KMart dedicated board for 9 years now.Unless your husband was on the K Mart account in 2009 he isnt telling you the whole truth.

Not sure how long your husband has been driving truck. But all companies have a negative side. Some worse than others.

Pet policy? Koch has never had a pet policy,so not sure where this is coming from.My wife has been with them for 6 years now.In that time no pets have ever been allowed. She tried!

With all due respect it sounds like your husband just was not a good fit.Trucking is a tough.Being home every couple of weeks is going to earn you a less than desirable paycheck every other week.Thats just a fact.

I hope your husband has since found a good company. They are out there, and in my opinion, based on my wifes experience,Koch is one of the few good guys.

Good luck ,its been 4 years since your post.I hope everything has worked out for you.

I worked for koch for two years ,including some time out of the Ks.terminal for juan, and must say that the complaints mentioned are 180 degrees from my reality and others I had the chance to meet. I have alot of complaints about alot of companies but found the culture at koch to be honest and pro-driver. I left juans terminal because I wanted more miles so I went OTR. I never recieved anything but politeness over the phone or in person and dont recall any wrong directions (though that does happen). As far as the screaming and confusion about who should be on what load, again, that doesn't sound similar to any of my experiences. You're always going to run into dis-satisfied drivers. It is a stressfull life and people need to vent but I dont remember meeting one single driver who ,whatever their complaint, hated the company. I'm off the road now but would not hesitate recommending koch to any driver.thanx
