I signed the contract with them about a years ago. I don't know if they are still open, but I hope not. They told me I would be in a commercial for MTV, that I would be miss sunshine and get my own featured page in the yes magazine, and they told me the money would pay off very soon. They told me I would get pictures, they would build my portfolio, and they would give me acting and modeling classes. Fact is that I payed them almost $700 for nothing. I never got to be miss sunshine. I never saw myself on the so called MTV commercial. I NEVER even got my pictures that they took of my in the parking lot! The classes where a real joke! They put me in with little girls that where not even half my age. By the way... I also never got all the classes they promised me I would get. I kept calling Bruce for almost one year regarding my pictures. I figured I should at very least get the pictures from the money I payed. No one could ever give me a straight answer. Every time I tried to reach Bruce he would avoid me. Even when I personally stopped by! After I gave up trying to get anything I was entitled to, I found out that I was not alone. I found out many others had been scammed by this thief. He has been sewed because of this scam he has going, and in order for him to stay in business he had to change the company name to Starbiz- Wilhelmina. That way no one could really do anything to him. He is a smart crook. He said the reason the name was changing was because now Starbiz would be part of a much bigger talent agency (Wilhelmina) which according to him would bring even more opportunities to his talent.

I never got anything out of this and I never will... I did learn a big lesson though.

I just wish that I would have thought about the wording in the contract better before I dished over my mom's hard earned money. The contract clearly states they do not guarantee any kind of work. ( They wouldn't since they probably never got anyone hired!)

Anyhow, I hope they are not still open. If they are... watch out!!!
