Steven what does credit life have to do with the situation? Credit Life only pays off a vechicle if the person on the loan dies. What you are probly meaning is she should have purchased GAP Insuranace. GAP is a seperate policy that pays the difference between what is owed and what the value is.

Get credit life for your car. Did they mention that when they insured the car. What about the institution you financed the vehicle thru??? This could have saved you the hassle of paying the difference between the financed amount and the actual price of the vehicle. Some people think of this as being unnecessary but especially being in the military it is a good idea.

Any insurance company will only pay the value of the vehicle at the time of lose. How you payed for the vehicle is your concern not the insurance company's. They only care about the worth. Since the insurance company lost the case, didn't they pay your attorneys' fees?
