Stop n park Parking scam Denver, Colorado
Stop N Park operates a parking lot at 1955 Arapahoe Street in Denver, near Coor Field. On August 1 I parked there for a baseball game. The attendant gave me a receipt but did not tell me to display the receipt on the dashboard. As a result, my car was towed, and I had to pay $200 to get it back. I called Mike Sanchez of Stop N Park and he denied any responsibility, blamed the towing company, and told me I would have to deal with the manager of the property, but he refused to give me that person's name or phone number. He in essence called me stupid for not displaying the receipt, although quite often parking lot attendants provide receipts only for a customer's benefit -- in my experience, if you need to display the receipt on the dashboard they tell you so or have signs directing you to do so. Apparently, Stop N Shop operates several lots near Coors Fiield. While their name is not displayed anywhere, they work with Lone Star Towing -- if you see a sign about Lone Star Towing, I advise you not to park there.
