Straight Talk / Trac Phones- Pre Paid phone bought at Walmart along with the insurance. Phone stopped working they sent a Fed Ex pack to pick it up and said they would ship a replacement. The replacement was sent back on Dec. 18 2015 via a tracking number to the warehouse. It is now Jan. 7 2016.
I have made numerous calls to check on the shipment of the replacement. Each time they acknowledged the receipt of the old phone. They said they show a replacement needs to be sent but no tracking number, I asked them to send tracking to my email.
It never happend, so I called again, still no tracking number after 2 weeks of saying it would be sent out. They checked the address each time and then said USPS does not recognize the address. Fed ex sent a pack to send the old one back, so that is not true.
They again put all the info in the system to send the phone, and said they we would not get it until Monday, same thing as said last week, and week before. No one follows up to see if a tracking number is produced after complaining. I tried to speak to a supervisor this time, and was on hold to speak to one for about an hour (no joke).
AFter an hour of waiting on a supervisor I could not wait anymore. There are 2 supervisors on duty and to add the customer call center is in the Phillipines. They told me to call back on Saturday to see if there was a tracking number produced. "If".
I should not have to follow up to see if my replacement is on the way, and call to make them check to make sure it gets shipped. It will be 1 month without a working phone due to replacement not being shipped. This is the worst customer service, and just overall bad company operations.
If you have a business, and need immediate customer service this is not the way to go. Even personal use, is just awful. It takes about 30 min each time I call to get on checking the old phone shipment being shipped back, even with a ticket number, then you finally get to the fact that the new one has not been shipped yet.
Now we will have to call and get the minutes added back in that we could not use while not having a phone. After reading the reviews, it looks like that may be a battle as well.
I am wondering if I did not call and complain if a replacement would even be sent out. Who can go an entire month without a phone (this is insurance I paid extra for). If you go with this service buy yourself a phone, and if it is destroyed buy yourself a new one. They are charging $179 for phones you can buy on the internet for pennies and phone companies give away just for signing up. Then you buy insurance that is useless.
They will activate AT&T and Verizon phones. Get yourself one of those, and do not give them recurent payments. Apparently, from the other reviews, they will keep charging when you quit the company. The only good thing about the service is the price. The customer service you better depend on yourself for that part.
A credit card was used to buy the insurance that is supporting this transaction for the original phone and the insurance bought that is trying to be redeemed.
