This is the Dead Beat Dads section in case you hadn't noticed. As far as hiring lawyers to go after child support I never did that even though he was only ordered to pay $50 a month. And everyone who knew us knew he was in the wrong. Even his best friend didn't want anything more to do with him.
I had to watch my kids grow up being hurt and wondering why their dad could just walk away from them and never even send a birthday or Christmas card. I guess the inspiration for this report was when our youngest son left his dad a message on fakebook and never even got a reply. Even though my son was an adult by then I know it still had to sting. He might not care about his children but I do and it made me mad. I don't understand someone who could turn their back on their own kids.
Also I posted it as a cautionary tale for others. I was told he got remarried and had at least one more child which he also abandoned as far as I know. Even most of his own family shuns him these days. It's very disapointing because he was smart, polite, even tempered and fun to be around. Just remember you should never trust a man (or woman for that matter) who would turn their back on their own kids no matter what kind of excuses they make up to justify it.

I find it hard to comprehend someone putting "deadbeat dad" from 30 years ago on Ripoff Report. The court system makes very bad, unfair support awards. Children are used as pawns in the expensive lawyer game. Have you BEEN in a Lane County Oregon Courtroom? Fact mean nothing. Evidence means nothing. It all gets down to hiring the right lawyer who knows the other lawyer to they work it out and take all the $$.
Where is your $$? Probably with the lawyers you sent after him you $itch. You wanted the kids, you did. 30 years later? You got probs baby, maybe that is why he left. Child support on a consumer site?
