Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I decided to submit my experience here after reading about the company at this website.

Like others I was recruited by these guys to do print ad sales. At first I was feeling pretty good about the company. However; that all changed once I received their starter packet. It was after reading the material that I realized that they had misrepresented or atleast omitted what I considered imp parts of the agreement.

The main problem I had was that they never mentioned that I would be opening up new territory. They mainly focused on 2 things: renewals and expansion. I am not opposed to new territory. But their talk to me never mentioned that aspect. Obviously renewals are easier and a good way to learn.

It was after reading their material that I relized I was mislead and decided to forego involvement w/ these guys. So I did not participate in Sat training on the phone.

I was contacted early monday morning and asked why I missed training. I told the guy what I said before. He got very aggressive and said to send the materials back. I said I am not going to pay to ship them back when it was their misreps to me that caused me to cease my involvement.

It was at this point that craig mawson or Frank vitti or whatever name he was using that day; started to threaten myself and my parents with physical harm(namely a fork in the eye). He said someone named Jerome (he said the name Jerome in a foreboding tone)would be by to p/up the material.

I wasn't sure I was hearing this right...but he went on after I informed him my parents were deceased; that I would be seeing her soon.

After we hung up; I contacted to local sheriffs dept and they are handling it. I doubt if anything will come of it. I just wanted them to have a starting point of investigation if I end up harmed or dead....whatever.

Anyway; these guys are at the least not very professional.

Proceed w/ caution.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Sat, August 13, 2011

This, or should I say "these" companies, (Student Relations, Inc., American Youth Group, Inc., American Youth Corp, Students Of America, TCB Sports Marketing Group, Inc.) are all SCAMS and they are owned by the same two individuals.  These same two individuals, Louis Victor and Michael J. Martoe, and two of the above listed businesses have either had their Corporation Registration revoked or dissolved.

When you first inquire about the job they call you almost immediately and in the fashion of a telemarketer.  With the experience I have in internet scams, and the current service I run as an internet scam investigator, I applied for this job.  Oh, yes Louis and Mike I said it! I am an Internet SCAM Investigator and you have been busted sorry!  Later I will point out what to watch for in these con/scam artists but first my story dictated in the form of my professional opinion.

It started by obviously applying for TCB Sorts Marketing Group.  I was then contacted by a man born and bred of New Jersey named Louis Victor.  Louis promised me the lifestyle of the rich and famous.  Next I was told I would be contacted by Mike Martoe the Manager of Sales, both gentlemen represented themselves on behalf of TBC and mentioned nothing of the other companies.

After the initial conversations I was told I would be receiving a package containing my first exciting assignment.  The duties of this position that I was told in the beginning is that I would be working with schools from around my geographical area and then approaching small- oh what was it? Oh yeah, "Mom & Pop" businesses.  When I received the information it was out-dated with very poor design and creation.  There were several forms and paperwork all with the same address, "1300 SW 10th Street, Delray Beach, Florida 33444.  Immediately I began to laugh.  These two guys claim they have a huge clientele, they have hundreds of employees or contractors, they service 41 out of the 52 states, ha, yes 52 and they are using one company for recruiting (TCB), one company for publishing (American Youth Group-formerly American Youth Corp), one company to manage their "distributors/contractors" (NCCD or National Coast to Coast Distributors), and finally one for these poor people to pay for these awesome and "Cadillac" advertising (SRI or Student Relations, Inc.-formerly Students of America) so that you will never be able to tie these men to it.

I was also told under no circumstances should I contact the schools for it would jeopardize the contract.  Well being the person I am of course I contacted the school and they had no idea of this so-called "contract" for folders and calenders. As a matter-of-fact the guidance counselor that Louis and Mike claimed authorized this order retired over two years ago and her signature was forged to a recent document! WOW!

The reality is that these two Con-Men are stealing from these small-town businesses for a "rate" of $299.00 USD and are not even sending the product to the schools, they print just enough copies to send to their distributors/field reps for samples.  When you get the samples and contact the businesses advertised on these folders, they have no clue who these guys or companies are!

There are other complaints that former employees have not been paid for expenses, salary, commissions, etc...  I have no knowledge of this because I was not taking the investigation that far because it would have resulted in me supplying these thieves with my social security number.

Now that I have told you this I will back up for just a minute.  When this investigation began , I researched these companies to the fullest and found several reports and complaints listed through the BBB of Florida and the BBB of New Jersey and found complaints of non-payment, miss-leading information, and even physical and sexual harassment and threatening.  One including a guy stating that Louis Victor told him this individual to get his mom to suck his d***, and that he would stab him in the eye with a fork!!!  I questioned Mike Martoe of this and I was told that it was false and that the guy just had a grudge against them and the complaint was fictitious.

Concluding my investigation I called and asked for Louis, I told him I had an uneasy feeling about the company and would send this preposterous "Starter Packet" back.  I was then told to go f*** my mother and that the last guy that did this got stabbed in the eye with a fork and that he would kill me and my family!  Okay that statement there will tell you that these are not businessmen, they are crooks with a vigilant intent.

I am in correspondence with the Florida Attorney Generals Office and are relinquishing all printed material and voice recordings to them and starting an official investigation in conjunction with them and having these guys shut down for good and also bringing criminal harassment, threatening, and federal fraud charges against them.

I ask for anyone with similar experiences with any of these companies to join my team of professionals to bring them to justice and make it to where they will never be allowed to operate in this country again.  I can help you!

The sad thing is that they portray themselves as christian professionals that are out to help the kids and students of these schools when the ones that they are truly harming are these students and kids, this money can actually be going to the ones who really need it!

I have no doubt that one of these delightful and professional businessmen will reply to this report, which will all the more concrete my concluding hypothesis of these thieves.  So have at it guys.

I am deeply sorry to those who have been monetarily demised by these two men, I wish I could have done this sooner but let this be a warning to all... DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT OTHERS HAVE BLINDLY AND CONFUSEDLY MADE!

This has, once again, professionally been diagnosed as a SCAM!

The information in this report is absolutely true and based on my experienced findings of these companies, entities, and affiliations connected to Louis Victor and Michael J Martoe.

This is not legally binding or bonded and is only intended for consumer awareness.

For more information please feel free to contact me.

Personality Conflicts Happen All Too Often, Resulting In Complaints Here

#3REBUTTAL Owner of company

Mon, April 12, 2010

For several reasons, a Company and an individual who works with or for it can develop a relationship that may sour over time. It just happens in the business world. There is nothing proper to address it, ignore it or make it stop. All we can do, as a Company, is continue to strive to please all of our customers across the U.S. and the Account Reps who manage these customers for us. We are very limited as to completely eliminating these conflicts as they arise - as many end up here on sites like this before we even have a chance to realize that a problem exists. Now, in this age if the internet, that is the nature of things. We endeavor to help and remedy all of the issues that arise. Some we can and some we cannot. I implore all those who may have issues with our Company in any way, pick up the phone and call us. We will do our best. Thank you.

Hey Mike. Why don't you respond to the posts about how Victor keeps calling people and harassing them, calling them names, hanging up on them, etc.? Why aren't you acknowledging that part of it?? And for the record, I was in NO WAY "influenced by Brian Davidson", nor anyone else. I am speaking from personal experience, from when I turned down the job offer and the numerous and continuous phone calls I then received from Victor. You can say it's not true all you want, but I received them and I don't think the many other people who have received them really care that much to come on this website and make this stuff up. The only reason we are here is to tell the truth about that unprofessional, immature person named Victor. Good day.

Listen folks, you don't stay in business for as long as we have, maintain an exceptional BBB rating and continue to renew over 100,000 business merchants annually by misleading and trying to hurt people. The folks who post negative comments (some are really OUTRAGEOUS) here know that they can without being edited or held accountable for their words or actions. Therefore, if you are considering joining us, then read this nonsense and decide otherwise (even though we maintain a stellar record with the Better Business Bureau), then maybe you're not for us. We will be happy to address these crazy posts on an individual basis, but will never lend credibility to their content. Just think, have you ever lost your job or got caught stealing from your company or broke the rules and policies of the organization you work with and got penalized- or even terminated? Have you ever just decided that a job wasn't for you and just disappeared? Without any notice at all? (Is that professional?) Some of you might have. Some of you might have thought you did nothing wrong (denial). That's ok, to. It happens. My question is, how would you expect that company to react? Should they break their own rules and policies in your favor just so you don't post a negative comment on a tabloid website? Well, this forum is the perfect place for disgruntled folks like that to come in and attempt to destroy a company's name and reputation - without consequence. Whether the content is true or not. We've all lost a job before. Ask yourself these questions, a.) would you take the time to come here and post lies and unquantified allegations - just because you're mad? - or would you just move on and seek other employment. b.) ask yourself about some of the outrageous content contained in some of these posts? Does it make any sense? Don't they all sound alike? Maybe too much alike? As I mentioned earlier and also in one of these posts in this forum, anyone can say ANYTHING about anyone here - unedited and unsubstantiated. Even the Editor of this site - who could not ever be reached by phone - responded when we posted the 'F' rating/s that this very site and its' aliases maintain on the Arizona BBB. Look it up. His response was, "The reason for our negative BBB record is the many lawsuits against us....etc." Is this true? Who knows? He further went on to suggest to us that the only way to make these 'outrageous lies' and 'false allegations' work in our favor was to respond 'positively' to them. Look it up. It's here somewhere. POSITIVELY! Have you read some of this stuff? It's mind-boggling! Lastly, and in a very cavalier tone he mentioned that these comments would become part of our permanent online record and would never ever be removed (it's not their policy). He even dared us to sue him (we did not). We didn't even file a complaint. What would that solve? Ed Madgsen, the Editor of this site seems to be a disgruntled ex-employee or customer himself - and we are sorry for that. Unfortunately, he should have sued the entity that mistreated him. Instead, he created nothing short of an online version of 'The National Enquirer'. This site may help a few folks who got screwed over and have no resources or recourse, but it has damaged the reputation of far many EMPLOYERS, making it harder to recruit good, decent people in these tough economic times. We're offering opportunities for good people to join our firm and earn $75k during their first year putting them and their families in a better economic position. ********Attention to all Folks considering a position with our Firm************* We are a Nationwide Firm and have publishing contracts with over 9,000 Institutions. We have well over 125,000 customers nationally. We currently operate in 41 of the 50 states. We maintain an exceptional rating with the Better Business Bureau. Look it up. Some of these stories here on this site are simply out of touch with reality. It's as if a 4 year old broke a Cardinal House Rule and threw an out of control temper tantrum. They'll say and do anything. Here, on this site, is the perfect example. Have a Blessed 2009, Mike Martoe Student Relations, Inc.
