Our son signed up with success express sales.  First of all, they stated in their add quote unquote. " over 18? between high school and college? Travel and have fun w/young successful business group. No experience neccessary. 2 wks paid training. lodging. transportation.



We called success express sales because my son was going to be a father, he needed some work fast, he thought this might be a good oportunity for him, the individual he had spoke with knew he wanted to make money to send back home to his g/f for the baby to come.  The gentleman knew my son was after money not working for a contest which he failed to tell us over the phone.  I ask him if my son needed money to live on while he was there for those 2 weeks training, he said no ma'am he gets lodging, food, and transportation during the first 2 weeks of training.  He also stated that after the two weeks of training he then would have to pay his own way  and he will get paid on his commissions only.  We agreed to this.  He took down his name and phone number only, He did not ask for a ss# no address just his name. No fingerprint or backgroud check was done.  He took it for granted that my son said he was who he was. So the statement made by mike in not true, he and they do not do background checks on these young adults coming to work for their company.



Our son was paid 20.00 a  night and  had to pay for his own food during the first week of his training, this is not what the ad stated at all. They moved locations in the middle of the night and slept in a truck going to LA.  They had dropped my son off in an area where there was no solicity aloud and he almost got picked up by the police, his meds were stolen, which we were told to send a lock box because he didn't really know what type of young adults he would be rooming with, "shame on me for letting my son go"  If you screen them and do a background check, you'd know with whom you are dealing with.



There were drugs with this group, drinking etc...and then these young adults are going to homes knocking on doors to sale magazines while being high on drugs. This is scarey to even think about.  



Because he dropped the program early, they dropped him off at the california beach in oxnard and he had to wait for them there for 5 hours in the dark.  They then harrassed him, took his meds and told him he was a girl for quitting the program. 



I got him his ticket as we were told if he did not complete the program he had to pay his own way back. Under these circumstances I feel that they should have paid for his ticket home. He was treated poorly, they did not do what they advertised and or told us over the phone.  on top of all of this, not only was he left at the beach for 5 hours, he was dropped off at the greyhound bus station 12 hours earlier then when the bus was leaving. 



They did not want to take him later because they so called had to go sale magazines and make money to live on for that evening.  Paid trianing? A job? This is not a job, it is not paid training. I do not care about the money part of this all. I care about my son being taken care of no matter how old he is, if that is what we were told was going to happen.



Do not lie to the consumers and tell them these boys are screened and background checks done. do not advertise paid trainging, and job in one sentence...through my search we found it is a contest ONLY!  What and how and whose money they live on each day is beyond me.



I am upset that this man is allowed to lie to the consumers and put the public in danger by not knowing who he is sending to our homes to sale magazines, I am worried about our young people who are honest and do have families that love them, what is going to happen to them, I am just glad that my son had sense enough to keep calling me over and over and I him to make sure he was taken care of and fed.



This is truely a SCAM for our young children

     PLEASE READ ALL
This individual & her son where clearly explained to how our opportunity works.  I spoke with her numerous times until all her questions & concerns where answered. I will systematically break down all her fact less accusations.  Unfortunately listening to half truths, hear say and making up your own assumptions don't fly. 

As she stated anyone  to be considered for this opportunity must be an adult 18 years or older to travel with us across the United States (we travel by vehicle).

We took an application on her son as we do on any individual who is interested in our position.  Once we are seriously considering someone for this position we conduct not only a criminal back ground check but also a sexual perp background check.

Of course this job is to make money.  Our presentation is that we are young adults in a contest to sell magazines and collect points to win a trip and cash awards (see a  detailed explanation below).  As she explains in her statement, "I asked him if my son needed money for those 2 weeks of training, he said no ma'am he GETS LODGING, FOOD, AND TRANSPORTATION DURING THE FIRST 2 WEEKS OF TRAINING.  HE ALSO STATED THAT AFTER THE 2 WEEKS OF TRAINING HE THEN WOULD HAVE TO PAY HIS OWN WAY AND HE WILL GET PAID ON COMMISSION ONLY. WE AGREED TO THIS."  Her admittance although not completely accurate. 

We invest approximately $700 to $800 into each person we put through a 2 week training period if it is completed.  The breakdown is $20/day food x 14 days = $280 plus $15 per night for hotel x12 days (our reps are not charged for rent one day a week to TRAVEL, this is what we do TRAVELING SALES TEAM if we are traveling 6 hrs or so to our next location people are going to fall asleep what are we going to do force them to stay awake, also hotels will not let you check in until their rooms are cleaned from the night before usually between 1pm to 3pm) = $180 plus transportation into the sales team on a bus average $150 per  trip to get to us originally.  That is $610 already plus all other expenses such as compensation for the trainer, gas, supplies to conduct the sales, etc.  What we ask in return is to see if this is the right opportunity for you by staying at least through the FREE 1st 2 weeks.  This young man came in 1st day from a long bus trip did not train, next day he trained, next day group is off of work, quit on following day.

Typically from the high commission that they are paid in training ,40%, the average individuals have between $400 - $500 saved after 2 weeks of training with some of our top performers having saved over $1000 in that 1st 2 weeks.  After 2 weeks they are given a 10% raise in commission PLUS a huge cash bonus incentive program that goes up to $500 per bonus! Too break it down even further this is set up for a 4 week training period in the sense that all expenses are paid the 1st 2 weeks and they are able to save ALL 40% of their earnings.  This will give them usually enough money to pay for their expenses (food & $15 hotel fee per day) for their next 2 weeks if they do not have everything down cold at the end of the initial 2 weeks.

Drugs in no way shape or form are allowed in our company.  Now some of our individuals are over 21 and are able to have alcoholic beverages.  But we do not allow drinking in our hotel rooms that we rent under our corporations name and credit card.  Are you serious! There is NO WAY we are going to allow individuals to represent us under the influence of alcohol.

We have a responsibility to our sales reps and our organization to provide each of our over 30 sales reps with an opportunity to make their sales each day.  This will take priority over one person who did not take the job seriously.  We provided this young man accomadtions at our hotel for the night after he quit and it was realized through communicated with his mother that the next bus to return him home was not until the next day.  We provided him with$20 for food and transported him to the Greyhound bus station where his ticket had been paid from that following morning.
These accusations are based on hear say and ridiculous assumptions. I have spoken with thousand upon thousands of individuals about this opportunity and have given out opportunity to thousands who have joined us and where successful.  How we had a communication breakdown in the understanding of this opportunity is beyond me.  We lived up to all our contractual obligations and I would be more than happy to provide your son with another copy of these signed contracts if he desires.  We wish him good fortune in his future endeavors and we kindly request that you recant on your assumptions.

Once this website came to my attention I felt compelled to give some FACTUAL INFORMATION to consumers who visit the Rip Off Report website. I have read all 18 complaints regarding SUCCESS EXPRESS SALES, INC & PACIFIC COAST CLEARING SERVICES, INC on this website.

Unfortunately all these reports are based solely on assumptions and hear say. Every one of them have been filed by irresponsible consumers. It is this kind of irresponsible consumer reporting that slanders good companies based on assumptions and hear say. Please get facts and both sides of the story before you just jump online and do damage in our case to young adults doing something positive and improving their futures.

We would have liked the opportunity to address these situations in a professional business manner. These consumers should have contacted us through our telephone number( 1-253-851-8414 customer service) or mailing address (5775 Soundview Dr. #103-C Gig Harbor, WA 98335), provided on our receipts or through our website ( sesales.info). We could have appropriately addressed these situations and presented the FACTS.

This is a positive and constructive goal orientated program for young adults, over 18 years old, to travel the country developing inter personal communication skills, gaining an education in direct sales and brightening the future of the youth of America.
 
Our representatives are in a contest selling magazines subscriptions to collect points to win a trip to Europe, a Caribbean cruise, or a trip to Australia and cash awards up to $5000. The top two individuqals in the contest every six months win the trip. The cash awards are awarded in a separate contest in $500 increments.

Our buisness group, Success Express Sales, Inc., has been participating in these contests for over 20 years. We adhere to a strict code of ethics and moral standards. Our magazine subscriptions are cleared through the premier magazine subscription clearinghouse & customer service center in the United States, Pacific Coast Clearing Services, Inc..

In regard to the other issues in these reports filed:
1) These are young individuals who are working on their futures. They are going to be inquisitive on your career, interest, ect. They are trying to find their path in life and improve their futures.
2) The magazines term and cost are dictated by the publishers of the magazines. On any particular magazine it could be just a 1yr, 2yr, or 3yr subscription that we are required to offer.
3) There is a $15 process & handling fee for each customer regardless of how many magazines are purchased.
4) If more than one magazine is purchased the customer can choose a magazine off of a list that Success Express Sales, Inc. will pay for.
5) If magazine ordered are paid for in cash they do receive bonus points.
6) All contestants are instructed to obey signs posted and to represent our contest appropriately.

Success Express Sales, Inc. does its best to give this opportunity to good young adults searching for an avenue or a path to success. WE conduct general back ground checks and are very selective. Occasionally an individual may slip through who is not up to our standards and these individuals are released immediately from the contest.
