Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased my civic in March of 2008 and couldnt be happier since gas was high as crap back then. A few weeks later I noticed irregularities on the rear of the car. I had one of my buddies look at it and he also agreed that something wasnt right. After finding a lot of fresh sealant "aka" (putty) all around the trunk section I began to get suspicious. So later that week I went to Sunny Honda and asked the service manager to take a look at my car. He came out and I showed him my trunk section around the tail lights. I asked him does this look like it has been repaired and he replied yes but it looks great. I told him that I purchased the car from Sunny Honda recently and also mentioned that it was Certified pre owned. I also asked why they didnt tell me about the repairs, and his answer was they didnt see anything on the carfax report. So after that dead end I spoke to one of the sales managers and asked for a carfax report on my civic that I purchased recently and he told me that they dont do carfax reports anymore and that i would have to retrieve one on my own expense. I left confused and went on with my business. Now this past weekend I was waxing my car and I noticed that the "putty" was cracking and coming apart around my trunk section. I showed my wife and she agreed that I wasnt just imagining things. I also showed the putty mess to my co-workers and they all said that something was wrong with it. After that I got on the horn with HONDA not the SUNNY HONDA dirt bags and explained the whole deal. They said that they have no control over Honda dealerships because they are all franchised which I totally agree with. I was given a case/incident number and they assured me that someone will hear my experience. I was also told to go to Sunny Honda and talk to them directly and see if I can get anything from them because it is Fraudulent to Certify the car with evidence of repairs to the vehicle. But the garbage that I am getting from Sunny Honda is, since the Carfax didnt pull up any dirt or proof that the car was damaged they are not responsible for anything and its all on me. I went there today which is Wednesday the 27th of MAY and tried to plea my case to the sales manager that was on staff. He was the highest ranking person I could get in touch with so I spoke to him about it all. The first mistake was making me speak to him about it in their showroom in front of the whole place. Then the he didnt even look at me while I spoke to him and he kept on typing away on his computer. I began to get a little frustrated because he did not show any care what so ever. After I told him about how my car was Certified pre owned and that I had purchased it last March, he straight up told me "so what do want me to do about it" and I replied, " you owe me a new car". Thats when the crap hit the fan, he insisted that I had no proof that the car had been wrecked before and I should have brought it to their attention when I bought the car. I told him that I shouldnt have to question a CPO car because that is what I am paying for, Peace of mind. After about 10 mintutes of me explaining to him why I was upset and what I wanted in return for screwing me over. He said that it wasnt their problem at all and I have to take it up with HONDA everyday until I get something back. Well Honda said that they can not interfere due to the whole franchised/independant thing and its all me against that hell hole Aunny Honda. The sales manager started feeding me all these BS excuses about how I could have wrecked the car and paid for the repairs myself without making an insurance claim, and I told him how could I have afforded all that since the whole rear end was obviously replaced. He then told me that certifying a car only adds about 500 dollars to the purchase price and I told him thats complete BS. After he pretty much blew me off I lost my temper and really expressed my opinion to him. I was a bit out of line but he totally crapped on me and disrespected me right in front of his peers and customers. I was so furious that I couldnt help but use profanities but that doesnt excuse his behavior at all. He retorted with "GTFO" get the f**K out of here and I refused because I was so irate that I could barely breathe. So I slowed down and apologized for acting like a fool and I also apologized to everyone in the showroom personally for displaying such behavior. He didnt even have the balls to say anything for his actions so I shook his hand and continued to fight for what was right. One of the salesmen asked the sales manager if there was anything they could do to help me and he replied with no there was nothing that he would do to help and even if he was going to he said he wouldnt because I was talking sh*t to him. I admit that I crossed the line a little but that still does not excuse his remarks to me. I felt extremely insulted and disrespected as a person not just a customer, and all I wanted was some type of concession for selling me a bogus car, even an apology would have alleviated some of the pressure. But no, he refused to assist mein any way and basically shoved me on my way, he couldnt even admit he was in the wrong from the get go because no matter the situation you always handle problems in private and try to find a solution at the lowest extent possible instead of letting it escalate out of control. I truly did not mean for it to get out of hand, if he would have been a little more professional and gave a crap he wouldnt have this problem. But now that I have spoke to Honda about what went down he will definately get word from the higher ups and I will not go down with out a fight. I am going to stay persistant with this issue and will continue until I get them to admit that they were incompetent with their inspection prior to certifying the car. And if you dont know what it entails to certify a honda just check out Honda.com and review that section of their so called exhaustive 150 point inspection. Also if you have any quarells with honda dealerships or anything call 1800-999-1009 and tell them what you experienced, belive me your voice will be heard and hopefully you will get what you rightfully deserve. My advice to anyone that is in the Air Force or anyone who lives in Valdosta DO NOT even go near SUNNY HONDA, not even for an oil change because they are all true scumbags. I will make sure they get "Black Balled" forever.
