I ordered SureHealth Insurance after a sales rep (Lisa) assured me that the policy fully covered pregnancy costs. Since the rate was lower than expected, I was hesitant to believe her, so I asked her several times in order to make sure. I even took notes of our conversation, so I know for sure that she said it fully covered pregnancy.
After deciding to order the policy, she said that I had to pay a $125 application fee on top of the first month's premium, then she would send the company's brochure for me to review. She informed me that the $125 was non-refundable but that the first month's premium was refundable if I cancelled within the 10 day review period.
I asked her if the $125 application fee would be refunded if I received the brochure and found that something was not covered as promised. She told me word for word, "That would be illegal." I laughed then said, "Yes, but what if?". She then said that it would be fully refunded if I found information misrepresented.
After reviewing the brochure, I did not find that pregnancy was covered, so I decided to call. After speaking with Nikki, I discovered that it was not covered at all! I told her about the instance and asked for my money back, then she said that it would have to go through a 10 day inspection period before I received the refund. Supposedly during the inspection period they were going to listen to the recorded conversation between Lisa and me. I asked to speak with a manager, but supposedly he was unavailable. She told me that at the end of the 10 day inspection period, a manager would call me.
Needless to say, a manager never called. I called back to figure out what was going on. I was put on hold for quite a while, then I was told that a manger was now listening to the tape and that he would get back with me at the end of the business day.
Surprise, surprise, a manager never called. I then called back for a 3rd time only to be told the exact same thing..."a manager will get back with you by the end of the day." The only thing different with this call was that the customer service rep claimed something was wrong with the tape.
After being lied to for the 3rd time, I called back the next day. Can you believe it...I was told the exact same thing..."my manager will call you back by the end of the day."
This company is corrupt, deceitful, fraudulent, and completely guilty! After reading similar cases against the same company, I am ready to file a class action law suit against them. They are robbing people and have no sense of ethical standards! Please avoid them at all costs!
Completely disgusted at this outrage,
