Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This company sent my father a "voucher" for a computer for $500, stating he only had $300 remaining to pay and he would received a Dell 17" color monitor, Windows XP, 3.5 Disc Drive, 1.44 MB, Keyboard, 2 button mouse, Intel Pentium 4.1, 1 year of 45 days of free AOL service and a 56K Modem. If a person is knowledgeable with computers, one would know right away that a 56K modem is ran through a land line and is quite slow. You would have to right away have to spend money on an internet service provider and up to date DSL Modem in order to obtain any speed whatsoever for your Dell computer.

This voucher also states that you can secure this remanufactured computer via layaway by 9/17/07, that you just had to send a check in the amount of $25.00, and that they would take $25.00 per month until it was paid for.

Now, for those of you who are not quite familiar with computers, please beware. This is not an up-to-date computer, whatsoever. Nor is it a Better Business Bureau listed company.

I also telephoned this company and tried to attempt to find out what model this Dell computer was. I also asked the man who answered the telephone if there was any shipping and handling included in the $300 they are expecting you to pay them. (Don't be fooled by their silly pre-paid postage envelope) The man I spoke with did not know the easiest question, which was about the shipping and handling. Regarding the model number, he said that all of their computers are remanufactured and he could not guarantee what model I would receive.

I stated I most certainly would not spend $300 on the fact on a product that I do not even know the model number of. For all I know (and have read), it could be several or more years old. He said that he would check on these questions I had and would be right back with me, if it was ok to place me on hold. I ended up holding for over 30 minutes and finally decided 30 minutes was enough time to spend holding for a company who would not even release simple enough information to me.

I highly warn everyone and anyone who may receive one of these envelopes in the mail. They not only sell computers, but many other remanufactured items as well. And for those who are not familiar with computers, this is nothing but a scam to obtain your hard-earned dollars.
