Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Well this guy, Brad Curtis has been in construction a long time. He's originally from Michigan but has done business in Florida and now in Louisianna.

When he relocated to LA & started doing business in Slidell, it was under the guise that he was licensed and insured. He wasn't.

He's been charging too much profit (51% in one case)and asking for up front downpayments. Then the day the job starts or even before he's knocking on your door for more money. Multiple other problems exist such as not starting or delaying the jobs, charging the insurance company/customer for things he doesn't do, being treated with disrespect after the contract is signed etc.

Once some of his customers found out he wasn't licensed, they wanted to cancel their contracts. He was reluctant to return their money and they are in a mess. At least one is pursuing legal avenues. If you have been a victim, please report him to the contracting board of Louisianna. It's not clear at this time if he has a LA license now or is just registered to do Home Improvement business there.

His Michigan license is expired and his license in Florida will expire end of August. I know he has/had at least one complaint against him in Michigan with the BBB.

My husband worked for him for a while and he also got cheated. This man is robbing Peter to pay Paul right now so I would advise no one to do business with him. When the heat turns on with this lawsuit, he may decide to leave the state.

I know his neighbors are trying to have him evicted. They don't want someone this low living amongst them. Haven't Katrina victims been thru enough already? Obviously this man has no conscience.

He got about 89% of the contract funds and wanted the balance to finish house. I told
him he would get balance upon completion. He then told me if I did not pay him he would
quit working on house, which he did. It is not easy to go to arbitration with another
contractor to describe what was done and what was done improperly. Other contractors do not want to get involved in matters of this kind.

Response to the wife of disgruntled sales person

This filing was written by the wife of a sales person that we let go. We were just getting started when he started with us and we had our license it just was not posted on the State's website because of the back logged caused by Hurricane Katrina. We are one of the few companies that did things the way we were supposed to. We got our license, our insurance and registered with all the cities that we did work in. I feel it is unfair for disgruntled employees and their families to be able to post untruths on this website. None of this report is truth.
