The car service charged us an additional $10 for the trip to/from the airport this weekend. When I first made the reservation, I was told we would get a free limo upgrade- great! Then I was to submit our info- including address- online along with the man's name (Moe) and note about the free upgrade. 

This was my original e-mail to my husband after my reservation with private exchange and details about other companies excluded:

Round Trip in Lincoln L Series stretch limo (black on black)= $120 ($60ea way), discounted to sedan price (limo usually $73ea way) per Moe on the phone (also noted in online form submission). Tip and tolls not included (we do not have to go [toll road]). 

Pickup 11:15am from [our town] Fri 4/20 to TPA, pickup 6:30pm From TPA Tues 4/24 for return to [our town]. They will call Monday during business hours to confirm/verify and get credit card info for file. Fee not to be charged until customer pickup (or we can pay cash or use different card if we so choose). Cancellation with full refund available with at least 6 hours notice.  


The first issue was that they did not call Monday during business hours to confirm/verify and get a card to put on file for the reservation. I called back on Tuesday to make sure the online submission went through, that is when I submitted the reservation credit card info.

The day of the first trip (Friday), the $60 charge went through our account like normal. 
There was no mention that there was a "card fee" anywhere in there- not by the man on the phone (that I talked to twice), and not by either driver. We would have easily had cash had we known. I was told that the tip was not included though (of course). The first charge processed was the expected amount so we were definitely not expecting anything else after the return trip. The second charge contained an extra $10 charge.

I called immediately after our return trip to get the extra $10 charge fixed (thinking they added a tip even though we tipped with cash- or made a mistake) and was told they always charge an additional $5 per trip- to/from the airport- if you pay with a card. He said since they didn't charge us $5 for the trip out, they just charged us $10 for the trip back. I was told when I booked that I could pay with the card used to reserve, another card, or cash once the driver gets there. That's it.


On top of that, the first driver (who was nice enough) went to the wrong address- across the street and down 3 houses. Since we were expecting a black limo and not a white town car (which we saw but didn't think it was for us), I called when they were 10 minutes "late". 
However, we did not get the upgrade and the white car was for us after all. We weren't charged extra so I was not really concerned with that although I was a wee bit disappointed after being excited about starting our vacation with a limo ride after being told we would. The second driver was on time and very polite/friendly, he was in a sedan as well.
