Had this student made his refund request within the 3-day rescission period stated in the contract he signed, he would have received a 100 percent refund, no questions asked. However, his initial refund request came by telephone twenty (20) days after he signed the contract. He placed three calls to our company on the same day, and submitted his refund request in writing that day. The next day, we responded with a letter explaining his refund. On the following day, the refund was processed and applied to his credit card account. His refund request was processed promptly and in a reasonable time frame. In the nearly three weeks between the time he signed up for our training and the time he asked for and received his refund, our company spent time, money, and effort planning the event he decided not to attend. We were prepared to deliver a three-day training at a significant investment in resources; he canceled at the last minute well outside the terms of the contract he willingly signed. We also, in good faith, provided him with initial materials (the complete Teach Me Foreclosure Home Study course which includes a manual, audio CD, and CD ROM) which he was allowed to keep and use for approximately one month, and then we paid the postage for its return. His signature on the contract was his acknowledgement that if he wanted a refund, we would keep $100 as a fee for planning a training he had agreed to attend. We regret that this student decided to not go forward with his training, but our response to his refund request was handled promptly, fairly, professionally, and legally. Our introductory and advanced training courses and other education programs are of the highest quality and we stand firmly behind their value and effectiveness.
