I purchased a funeral arrangement that included pretty standard florist items: white lilies, red carnations, red gladiolas. It was the "Teleflora's Tender Tribute". What was delivered was stargazer lilies, pink carnations, white snapdragons. The flowers were loosely arranged and it looked like a sloppy, floppy mess.

According to Teleflora, the local florist said they substituted equal value and even added additional flowers to make up for the limited edition, keepsake vase they didn't have. They said they included roses. There were no roses.

I was not notified that what I ordered was not available and was not offered a chance to change or cancel my order. If I had known, I would have cancelled the order.

After emailing back and forth with Teleflora and sending them comparison images, they offered only a 50% refund.  I'm unhappy with this because I'm convinced that the local florist deliberately ripped me off by substituting what they thought they could get away with. I was appalled when I saw the picture of what was delivered because it was nothing like what I'd ordered and was not created with the skill, care, colors, or style of the original order. That the florist said it was "to value" is utter nonsense. No effort was made to provide the service and product I paid for.

This is not an isolated incident. It's happened to me before and to many other people. The remote florists think they can get away with substituting cheaper items. It's a bait and switch rip-off.
