Telescopes.com took my order for a Telescope on 8/05/2008 . The item was in stock and available at the time of order placement. I received an email promptly informing about the status of my order which was tagged as -- Pending . But the status has never changed from Pending to Shipped.
On enquiry i was told, that they were unsure about when the item would ship even though they had it in stock. Their estimated ship time is between 2-3 weeks from today and they cannot guarantee when it would ship out but they gave a delivery date of 8/8/2008 , when asked if i can cancel the order I was told that was not possible. A company should allow its customers to cancel orders if they cannot keep up their shipping schedule.
Bottom line is, the company lacks a decent Order management system to track its inventory from its warehouses, customer survice is lackluster and rude.
Do not shop with this company, there have been quite a few complaints about their shipping schedule.
