The first thing that happened is that the wrong trailer was sent to my house. The 1st set of movers were not prepared to do the move in the promised time slot of 7AM-12PM. The correct movers didn't show up until 1:30 and didn't finish my move and my in-laws until 9PM. That is 7 and a half hours. I had scheduled my dish network guy to be at my new residence between 3PM-5PM. I got lucky because the dish network guy actually did stay for an extra hour out of his time to wait for the movers to do what they were supposed to have done between 7AM-12PM. I wasn't so lucky with the carpet cleaner I scheduled to be at my residence at 6:30PM which should have been more than enough time to have all mine and my in-laws stuff out of the residence. The 2nd truck that was brought to my residence couldn't fit all my stuff and my-in laws stuff. It took 5 trips to move all the stuff that I listed well in advance for the move to take place.
This by far was the worst moving experience that I had ever had. You would think movers should know how large a truck is going to be needed to handle a move. I have moved a total of 4 times out here in the Phoenix area and will never utter the words The Apartment Movers with a good noun, adjective or verb because no good work is deserved.
Lastly, the movers broke many items but a plate that belong to mother-in-law was the most notably thing. The plate that was broken was a plate that her dead mother used for Thanksgiving every since she was a girl. This is something that can't be replaced. The plate was tied to memories of her childhood that cannot be returned.
Consumer beware of a profile on review places for this company by the name of "grannysun." I have found his name on several places that review the The Original Apartment making comments praising this company. When I see this sort of thing it raises a red flag that says, "employee review."
