Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had a job I hated and wanted to find another way I could make money. I am young and naive in my early 20s not that that's an excuse. Yes, the infomercial looks like a complete scam. But after watching it for a couple of months I figured wow, I could quit the job the pays so little and not have to struggle so much anymore. Well, I believed I was going to be spending only $35 dollars and all and all ended up giving them 4,000 + from my savings. Still they wanted more money that I could not possibly give them.

It looked sketchy form the beginning, I knew it when they had me call my bank and give them an explanation as to why I was taking out such a big about out of my bank account. After that my website took a couple weeks to get up and running. The first mistake was they spelled my fist and last name wrong. How could that be so if They used it while billing me?

They started me off by giving me about 5 people who were attached to me and then I ended up with 20. These people were added for my troubles when I later called frustrated and upset on why I was not making any money. Now I know one either these people where not real or two these people were going through that i was going through.

I was guaranteed 12,000 visitors a year and managed to get over a thousand in close to two years. Initially I put effort in "advertising". Then I just knew it was a scam. I called and complained and they said something was wrong with my traffic and that they would fix but they never did. My website sat there for a couple months and I was just waiting for the traffic to go up as It was promised to me from the beginning.

This is funny because when I fist spoke with these people they said "you have to advertise and be exited about your business" some people just have a website and don't use it. I remember saying 'What? people buy the program and don't ever do anything with it whats the point of spending so much money" That was the the third of many red flags yet to come. But I ignored it just as I ignored them spelling my name wrong on my website and my website itself. because It reminded me of my stupid mistake. How stupid I was to give them my money ignoring my family and friends.

A few months later due to bad money situations, I started working on my website.I spoke to coaches and followed what they told me just to prove them wrong. How could I pay close to 5,000 dollars go out post adds on the Internet and such and not get a single penny. I called and called and was put on hold for thirty minutes every time I called.

I was so angry I was not going to let them putting me on hold for thirty minutes then having the machine say I called after hours stop me. I asked for advice on how my 'business that's what they called it what a joke' could flourish. One of the coaches said I sounded young. Then she said I should try and target young people who were young and were willing to give money easily. This made me so angry because I was young and I had given up my money.

I argued that I wanted people to buy this vitamin only if it was something that was going to help them no mater their age range or anything else rather. My number one priority was to sell vitamins that would help peoples everyday lives and secondary was me making money which I apparently did neither.

I then spoke to Patrick ball he is in customer relations I believe. I said i did not want to advertise a vitamin that did not work. Because I have bought a lot of vitamins that have not worked their purpose and that had made me very ill in the past. I wanted to know what was in them and how much research was done for them to call them the greatest vitamin in the world.

He gave me the most ridiculous explanations on how great they were and how he really was not informed about them so I should talk to a coach instead. I did and was adamant on the vitamins being safe. The coaches said they are good but that the main purpose was clearly making money by selling this great product. A product I had never heard before that had no history of research.

Contrary to what I was told after that I stopped advertising the vitamins. I never recommended the vitamins in person to no one. I could not see myself doing that. Nor did I target young people like me who " gave up money more easily". My last attempt I contacted Patrick Ball I believe and asked why none of the people attached to my program were making any money. I knew I was not going to get my money back and I also knew I was being lied to. I just wanted the truth and not the run around.

Clearly other people were making money after two years. I confronted him and said Don Lapre was a complete scam artist and that I had researched him quite a bit. The guy did not finish high school I said, how could someone that never finished high school fool me like this. I was very angry, He said That has nothing to do with the business. Then I ask well how about him going to prison in the past for fraud. He agreed to this and said It was only once. ( OH that makes me feel better now 3 times in jail could have been a red flag according to him.)

Anyhow, he said I should not believe everything I hear on the Internet( the nerve). He stated that they cant make everyone happy and when you don't make a few people happy they will voice their opinions. He said that goes for any other business out there. He also said they were not going anywhere that they had a huge office in Arizona and that they could not just disappear. That I should not worry about it being a scam. He said he wanted this company to flourish as much as I did . I just wanted my money but I knew that was never going to happen. He said he had a family and kids to support and that this was no scam.

I have called their offices and it goes to voice mail and my many attempts to contact them via email are all go unanswered. I have also heard that their offices were being searched by the FBI. That was a clear indication that I should continue with my life and put this horrible incident behind me. I will let the law and a higher being give don Lapre and all the other people that were involved what they deserve.

God Bless,

I found some of my research to be untrue even though don lapre is clearly a scam artist he was not arrested or ever put in jail. The Arizona Attorney General's office charged him and his wife with violating the state's Consumer Fraud act, When on the phone with the greatest vitamin in the world customer service reps. I brought up the fraud and him declaring bankruptcy and assumed he got jail time but that does not seem to be the case. It appears that in 2005 dough grant was charged with first degree murder. HE is the guy that helped lalpre with the vitamins. these are some interesting web sites you might want to take a look at I cannot guarantee these facts are true but I do see patterns here. http://web.archive.org/web/20020604063820/www.donlapre.com/ http://www.quackwatch.org/11Ind/lapre.html
