The Huntington Apartments The Huntington Hotel Renting Hotel Rooms illegally as Apartments, interfering with mail delivery and more Los Angeles, California
The Huntington Hotel in downtown Los Angeles is a residential hotel owned by the notorious owners of Dadson Laundry (see other ripoff reports) and is illegally pretending to be an apartment complex, signing leases for six months to fourteen months. They do not meet code for an apartment complex and the promises they make (such as installing kitchens) to residents would be illegal for them to do as a hotel. The most serious consequence of this being a hotel and not apartments is that management (none of whom has the requisite real estate broker license required by law) has access to my mail. Some of my mail has been stolen and many residents are missing important mail. Reporting abuses results in bullying and intimidation by the unlicensed staff. Emails come from a Raymond Management but the only business in California by that name is in the Bay Area and not at all associated with this scam. Bathrooms are not cleaned unless there is to be an open house to attract new scam victims. Those who give information to other residents about how to get assistance are targeted for threats and stalked by management including stolen mail, gathering information through the use of security cameras and other residents, and filing false 'incident reports' without the knowledge of the tenant. These 'incident' reports are being gathered as ammunition when they try to illegally evict tenants as retaliation for reporting their crimes to authorities. These people are soulless criminals. The owner is supposedly Jewish but harassed my Jewish guest on Yom Kippur. These people have no self control when it comes to doing the right thing. If it gets in the way of their making money, they will just ignore it whether it comes to laws, regulations, or (supposedly) their own religion. These are the worst kind of criminals imaginable. They particularly target USC and FIDM students with web pages that imply they are official student housing. I believe they target students because they are less likely to know their rights.
