I'm very upset that The NEW Linens n Things uses selling tactics like BAIT N SWITCH! I placed an order on 1/18/10, I followed up on this order on 1/21 and was told on 1/22 that it would take up to 10 days from my order date to ship - there was no mention of out of stock and when I placed the order in FACT the item specifically showed online as IN STOCK - on 1/28 I received an email stating my order had been cancelled, I replied and asked if I could still get the sale price when they are back in stock or have an equal product substitute and was sent back a coupon code for 15% off another order - that's not at all what I wanted, asked for or fair ... In fact anyone can go online right now and get 14% as advertised right on the website - and my 15% they offered me can't be combined with any other offer.

The rest of the items they have like the one I ordered are much more than a 15% discount would offset In FACT they are 4 times the cost of the item I ordered! I used Paypal for the order - they recieved the money same day but 13 days later now I still haven't been credited back. I contacted them once again stating I'd like comparable item to replace my order or a raincheck for when the item becomes back in stock, or the name and address of the CEO so I could lodge my complaint directly .. no surprise I haven't heard a word back from them. I filed a BBB report now and am posting to warn others to be weary of this sales practice.
