In September of 2008 I put a deposit on a puppy from The Road House Dobermans, www.theroadhousedobes.com. The owners of said business are Joe and Diane Sabol. After speaking with them I assumed everything was on the up and up. Last week, the week of the 25th, Joe emailed me and told me that his Dam, Autumn, had a false pregnancy. I told Joe I was very sorry to hear that. He said she will be re-breading in three months. Right then a red flag went up. I told Joe that I was going to need my money back and he told me that this couldn't be done. I asked him again and got the same answer. I paid $900 for the puppy plus and extra $520 for ear cropping which puts me at a monetary loss of $1420. What's more appalling is that he intends on breeding Autumn again so soon despite the risks to her health.
I have tried to be civil with Joe and Diane but to no avail. The pretty much told me in no uncertain terms that if I wanted my money back I would have to sue.

I located Roadhouse Dobermans on the internet. I talked to them by phone and sent them my deposit . I had my cousin, who liver in the Reading area, go to see the puppies after they were born. All puppies and kennel conditions were excelent. When the puppies were over seven weeks old, I picked up the female puppy. The Sabols were as profesional friendly and helpful as they could be. Price papers and everything was perfect. I have had Dobermans since 1956. this puppy who is noe 2 years old is the finest speciman of the true German state of the art breeding i have seen. she is lean muscular 90 lbs and by other breeders comments as good as the breed can produce. her intelligence and tracking are beyond my expectations. I would not consider buying from another Doberman breeder. I can only say you would be well served to wait for the next litter. Seth

I was also duped by Joe Sabol the owner of the road house dobermans . In febuary of 2007 I was also awaiting my puppy. After sending my $500 deposit, my conversations with Joe Sabol began to con cern me. I contacted a few doberman clubs which pulled up photos of the alleged father. They were not the same of the photos I had been given. I asked the road house dobes for some more in fo (from this vet,etc) His response was... Nick, In your last e-mail you requested several things. We cannot complete this. It would be impossible to do this. First, our Vets will not do this because we have been down this trail before and they simply do not have the time to complete this. Secondly our lawyers could draw up a contract, however the cost is prohibitive and they advised us to return your deposit after reading the correspondence. Since we are not going to be able to comply with the request we have no choice but to return your deposit. This decision is final. I will get this refund to you in about 4 weeks.. Joe Sabol- Road House Doberman Joe never did return my deposit. I disputed my claim with paypal whent he deposit was not returned. Which they sided in my favor.... unfortunally paypal then stated since it was intanginable goods they could do nothing. I never did get a refund. Funny the pictures of his litters have been the same for over 2 years. He continues to rip off dog seekers, having them wait for thier new puppy. It never comes and the parents have to explain that not every person is honest, and the puppy they have been anxiosly awaiting will never come. I have found two other families which have also had the same dealings with the road house dobes!
