Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had a friend who took his computer to Thien Khanh Comptech for repairs. He had a bad hardrive that was corrupted. He was shopping in a shopping center when he saw Thien Khanh's Comptech. He entered the store asking how much it would cost for a new hardrive. One of the workers there was very friendly and said, bring your computer in and we'll see if it is in-fact the hard drive that is the problem. When he brought the computer in the workers said, give us a day we will check on it for you and let you know what is wrong, maybe run a few test on it.

Four days past, still haven't found out what was wrong with his computer, only answer he gets is your computer is really bad.He decides to go to the shop and take a look at his computer.Upon arrival they said it just got finished and were putting it together. My friend asked the guy working there what was the problem. He said we replaced your powersupply,Cd-rom,hardrive. My friend was shocked to find out that they replaced all that without letting him know. The friend of mine ask for the cost of repair since his computer was about 2 years old and thought it would be a good idea to just replace those parts anyways. The worker said it will be $240.oo. Paid and asked for a reciept and was told if you have a problem with it just take it back to us and we'll take care of it.

He proceeded to walk by the counter to pick up his computer when he realized that the video card he just bought from Best Buy about 3 weeks ago was sitting on the counter the his computer. He asked the tech that was working on it if in-fact that was his video card, the tech asked the other guy working there is that his video card? The guys replied yes it is thats a good video card. My firend asked if its a good video card then what is it doing out here and not in his computer. The workers at the store looked at each other and didn't answer. Finally one guys said, that video card you got is no good it conflicts with your computer. What video card is in it now? We put you in a 64 mb video card free of charge was the answer he got. At this time my friend was getting very upset. He replied I just bought that video card for $220.00 and still got the receipt to it. Why didn't they tell him that they switch his 256mb Ati Radeon card 3 weeks old for some no name 64 mb card?

After about an hour of arguing with the employees there they re-installed his other video card and found out nothing was wrong with it.He took his computer and home. When he got home he started up his computer, glad everything was over with...Within minutes he noticed his ram on the computer went from 512mb of ram now down to 386 ram. Calls back the company and asked why did you switch the ram, answer he got was we never touched it!

A month down the road his computer started to develope the same problem again. Hardrive was over heating. He didn't want to call them people back but he thought why am I going to pay for this again when Thien Khanh Comptech said they replaced it with brand new one? He took his computer up there and said my computer is having same problem again. This time I came along with him and told the guy that worked there that I know alot about computers since I worked as a service tech for MCI for 3 years.I told the workers there that they gave my friend a refurbished hardrive and not a new one since there was a sticker on it that said testing Windows XP o.k.. If it was a new hardrive like they claimed then why do they have to test it and put stickers on it to make sure it works? The 2 workers wispher something to each other in Vietnamese I believe. and said come back we will take care of it.

When we got back to the place they got the computer running again and said nothing was wrong. Ran a few test on it and it seemed fine. We were about to leave when one of the guy working there said to my firend we owed them 49.99. He asked what for wasn't the part brand new? and they told him to take it back if he ever had a problem? One guys answered yes other guys said no.

We took the computer back home since we don't want to leave it over there from past experience. Paid the 49.99 and left . 12 hours later computer started to have same problem AGAIN. I called back the company for him and they told me just come a buy a computer from them and that one has too many problems and is too old to fix. I laughed at them and told them that they would never a dime from my friend or anyone I know ever.
