TigerDirect.ca mail-in rebate fraud - $100 cheque never arrived Markham Richmond Hill Ontario
We purchased some products with mail-in rebate from TigerDirect.ca lst year.
We sent the form that says "We back every rebate advertised on TigerDirect.ca".
We were able to check the status of the procedure. The 1st week:"Your form received" 2nd week:"Your form received" 3rd:"Proceeding" 4th:"Proceeding" 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, "Proceeing".....then 10th and on:"info unavailable".
So I stard calling the rebate centre. Their answer:"All our customer service representatives are currently assisting other costomers. Your call is important to us..."
...FOREVER. Obviously there is no such thing as "rebate centre".
So I try Customer Service. Their answer: "Your cheques have been returned to us because you did not receive them"
O..K..it might have happenened..so could you send them again?
2 weeks later, nothing. So I call again. "Oh, the cheques have returned to us again because we did not have your unit number"
Hmm...that is strange..so how the heck your catalogues and fliers do make their ways to here without a problem??
I talked to every reps in their office. I even talked even to the corporate account manager. Now nobody picks up my call. I tried phone, email, call, registered mail...everything I could. For over 1 year... At the last call that was picked up by miracle couple of weeks ago, they said:
"We have no obligation to give you the cheques, but we can try JUST TO MAKE YOU HAPPY"
Think about this. Their job is to lie. They get paid to lie. Every day.
I am amazed that they have not got into serious trouble because of this.
