Letter sent to builder:

Please be advised that I spoke to your office on   01 /16 /13 regarding an air conditioning issue that has arisen.
We had our system serviced by a new contractor recently who told us that the A/C unit was only 3 tons capacity. He advised me I should have no less than 3.5 tons for a home this size.

I reviewed my original building contract with your firm and came to find that the contract originally read 3.5 ton A/C as a standard for my style home. As you are aware we made modifications to the floor plan whereas you suggested that we upgrade to 4 tons capacity as your tech felt that the additional square footage required this amount of cooling. We agreed to the upgrade.

I was charged an additional $850.00 for the upgrade to 4 tons which I paid for by contract.

Now we come to find that the A/C is not what we paid for. Nor is it even what we were supposed to get by your original standard.

I have not heard back from anyone at your office regarding my recent conversation with you.

I would greatly appreciate your prompt attention to this matter.

We are simply attempting to rectify a very obvious error in the final delivery of the home. According to the professionals in this business the error has certainly cost us higher electric consumption since the install. I trust you will correct this error ASAP.

We are not attempting to have the system replaced at this point.
We are simply attempting to receive a credit for the error in billing and move on. If this is agreeable to you I hope to hear back soon. If you do not contact me by 01-24-13 I will have no choice but to see our attorney and take further action.

I remain,

This letter was sent by certified mail and signed for by one of the principals. To date I have not heard back and no resolution has been attempted. When I call the office no one seems to care and I simply get the royal shuffle.

Any well established company that changes it's 22 year old name must have plenty of problems and complaints following them around. Just want to let the world know what these people really are.

Retraction of individual (Scott Whitlock) in report

#2Author of original report

In the spirit of fairness Scott Whitlock was only an employee and not responsible for decision making in the company. It is the President George D Diggs that has the ability to rectify all complaints made against his business.
