I seen that you have paid off, this was for everybody else reading this also, and for my last name you should know that for one, no one in collection gives out there last name, and that this site does not even put it on here. About the suppose of phantom intrest, READ THE STATE PAWN LAW, you pawn is a 30 day pawn, intrest is charged at the beginning of the 30 days, so if you come in even 2 days after the last payment you must pay the 30 day intrest per tn state law. These places are audited by the state every year random with no warning. If they were breaking the law they would be shut down. Also it is a lie to say if you pay early you loose days. Your pawn is still due 30 days from the time it was due,it is a 30 day pawn not a one month pawn,so date will be different each month if there is 31 days in a month. READ THE PAYBACK GUIDE. Your receipt alwasy shows what the payoff is and what date its good through(the next due date). You can call any lawyer you want, but they will tell you the same thing, you signed the contract and law is being followed. This is a pawn not a loan, the laws are very different, intrest is charged different and the ways it is collected are different

For one, the intrest rate starts at 9.99 not 22, all the other title pawn company charge 22%. Title max is the lowest.2. You get a payback guide exactly showing when the payment will be and how much.3. If you dont want to worry about getting calls or you vehicle repo, PAY YOUR BILL ON TIME. Im tired of hearing everbody cry, its simple read what they give you,and pay your bill, they told you there is no grace period, what is so hard to understand about that.

In Tennesee, there is currently a class action lawsuit against Titlemax for charging too high an interest rate (state law sets the maximum interest at 9.99%, Titlemax typically charges 22%). I don't know if this applies to you, because I can't tell if you were charged interest for sure or not since you paid in the first 30 days. But if it does, contact your local courthouse to find the attorneys representing the class action suit if you wish to participate.
