Hi there

I am from the UK and I received an e-mail from a Mr John Whatty from TN Fabrics and Textiles.

He claims to be the manager of this 'so called' company and he wants me to cash cheques for him and send the rest off the money to different locations around the world?

HA!!! If you believe this is too good to be true then yes I can agree... reading some other reports I can see that others have had the same company e-mail them too for exactly the same purpose.

Now, what you have to ask yourself is what is the money REALLY being used for? Gun crime, Drugs, Prostitution???? Dodging the taxman .... money laundering from harmless victims?

I say beat them at their own game .... cash the cheques not through your bank but by 'Cash Converters' ( or other companies that cash cheques for money in your hand) then if you are going to send the rest of the money via Western Union only do it through a registered Western Union Agent, which you can find at Westerunion --- that way this 'so called' company wont have any of your banking details.

Alternatively, at your own risk, you can receive the cheque ... cash it in for money in your hand then do not send TN Fabrics and Textiles the money?? If they e-mail you just say the cheque has not come -- got lost in the post?... and if they get nasty you can say that have reported them to the 'BETTER BUISNESS BUREAU' or the 'Financial Services Authority' --- that way they will probably get scared and don't hassle you again??

But ultimately, I think its a complete and utter scam and no one should do it!!

Hi Forget all that I said in my first entry! Apart from ITS A SCAM part!! If you receive a cheque in your name from 'TN Fabrics and Textiles' then you might as well frame it!! -- WHATEVER YOU DO -- DO NOT CASH THE CHEQUE!!. The cheque will bounce and you will be held responsible for repaying the bank or other company you cashed the cheque with so for example .. you get a cheque for 3000, you cash at your bank, the next day or so you back to your bank for money.... the bank will then say the cheque you cashed yesterday is fake and now, as you have signed for the cheque, you owe your own bank money for a fraudulent cheque. This is very bad as now you are 3000 down and you have most likely just funded a gang that likes Guns and drugs and Prostitution!!
