Arizona,#2Consumer Suggestion
Mon, November 01, 2004
Unfortunatly, a contract is a contract. People don't care when money is involved. They see you only as a dollar sign. I am sending you this suggestion as sort of an extreme. If you already don't have anything major, ex $100,000 in equity on a home, more than $5000 in equity on cars, ect. Declare BANKRUPTCY! Leave them screwed and holding the bag. Yes your credit will be screwed, but not as bad as most consumers think. Before BK I had a credit score of 425! My BK was discharged just this past June and I am already up to an average of 620. You only need a 580 to qualify for a home loan. You will pay the max 9%, but only for a year. Then you re fi and pay much lower. I already have three decent (although low limit) credit cards and everything is so much better. The other thing you may want to do, contact the local news stations in writting. Tell them your situation. You may not get to much out of it except the satisfaction of these guys getting pegged out for what they did. While it is perfectly legal to hold to contract, It is totally cold hearted as well. Good Luck
