Well , I broke down with my Volvo near Rock Springs Wy, got towed to "Volvo dealer repair shop" in the city, told the 2 young mechanics and cashier that my ABS sensor came on an my transmission stop shifting, also told them that I cut some wires to bypass bad connector, mechanic order the wires for next day it did not fix the problem, I told him to check TCU transmission, he refused to do that and trying to explain to me because it's older truck it must be some wire shortcuts and it take him some time to find out!!! He started to order harnesses for all truck , 2 weeks in process no fix , told him again you need to check TCU he replied he has no way how that he have no equipment to do it and meanwhile he continued exchanging methods with truck harnesses, I told him you must order TCU and if it's not it I will keep it and pay for it , next day (over 14 days in) he called me and told me he changed the TCU and it's not it and he continued to rank up his hours on my truck ( specially when they did not have any business in the shop - just me ) After 24 days in this Volvo - Tri States shop they fix it and guess what it was the transmission TCU , so instead of paying about $7000-7500 (TCU $5000 + labor) i end up paying $ 13,000 + additional $ 2600 +$ 1000 hotel + $600 towing I did complain to North America Volvo , did not do anything for me , as loyal customer for 12 years that was my last Volvo I will ever buy very disappointed at Volvo customer service. Please if you break down in middle of WY spend more money on towing do not take chances with this ripoff Shop
