Triangle Auto & AC Repair Faulty Serpentine job causes AC blowout Merritt Island, Florida
97 Golf GTI was brought in after starting issues discovered. Was told verbally that serpentine belt was gone and there was a slight leak in the radiator. Serpentine belt was repaired on 2/3/12 and less than one week later when pulling the car into a friend's driveway, smoke was coming out of hood. Stopped car and watched the serpentine belt burn off which then caused issues with the AC to not work anymore.
Manager will not accept responsibility and will not fix the issues caused by a faulty repair. he is demanding me to pick up the car and will no stand behind his work. We have been accused if misuse on vehicle. How can you misuse a brand new serpentine belt???? After talking with other specialists they have stated that serpentine belts not put on correctly can cause other issues if they come off.
