I took my Jetski to Trumbull Motorsports April 27th to find out if it was worth spending the money to fix. It cost me $100 to find out. I was told I would be called the next week. 3 weeks and 2 calls to their office later, I was told the boat would need steering cables. Several more weeks went by, I was again told, when I called, someone would call me right back. Weeks would go by and nobody would call. Finally, I was told I would need new motor mounts. To shorten this, I will cut to the final call. I was told the boat was ready on July 6, the cost $1100.00+ $100.00 spent for diagnosis. The boat was grease from top to bottom. It got all over me. I put the boat in at Cather Marine and started out of the marina, but the overheat alarm went off and I was forced to return. I found hoses laying against the engine which melted them and sealed them off. Obviously they didn't take the time to tie them up, so I replaced the hoses and tied them up. A week or so later I again put the boat in at the marina, and started out. The engine suddenly began racing but with no propulsion. I was towed back in. I told the guys at the marina who and what had transpired, and they said it sounded like "our friends are at it again." I called Jeremy at Trumbull Motorsports, and after a lengthy discussion, he tried to tell me that they had asked if I wanted a water test and I said no. That is an absolute lie. He said they couldn't be responsible for putting a load on the engine and it failing, because I never said to "check the engine." Twice while trying to get out of the marina the boat never got above 6 MPH. He refused to be responsible and decided to inject his personal problems into the equation to account for the length of time taken, the lack of communication and their work quality.
I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone who expects quality work and integrity in business practices. This will be followed up by a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
