Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I went online on 4/29/18 to start a quote for a move for a 2680 sq ft home. After filling out the 1st page it went to the contact info so full inventory not listed. I called on 4/30 & said that it didn't let me finish giving inventory. I told her I had 2 bedrooms, freezer, fridge, washer dryer, bedroom and living room & unsure how many boxes. She asked me if I wanted to do inventory or time. I had moved from same size home a few yrs ago & it took 4-5 hours and only cost me around $500. I used same company then.  I told her this and that I actually had gotten rid of some of my furniture. She quoted me $480-$720 for 3-5 hrs.

On 5/17,movers arrived at 3:30pm, the driver, Micah, said it would take 3-4 hrs to load. He said that the sheet he had said I only had a few items. This was because even though I had called & said the inventory sheet wasn't completely filled out, they still went by it. I called them & was transferred to Josh, the manager. He said they would work to get it done faster but did not send another person  .

In the meantime, the movers nicked a small hole in the wall in one hallway & I pointed it out to Micah. He brought his other mover to it & yelled at him & told him to be careful. I wasn't asked initially to fill out anything at that time. They didn't finish loading until 8p! I called Josh & attitude had changed. Claimed he listened to tape & it was a stalemate but wouldn't let me hear it. Stated I had insisted on a 4 hr job. (how is it I told them it was a 2680 sq ft house and what all I had yet they aren't smart enough to send enough people?)

Stated would give a military discount, take off trip charge and $80 for damage waiver. The conversation became heated as I knew this was their fault. I mentioned the damage & he said (with a tone as if I was lying)that Micah didn't mention it. I confronted Micah & at first he denied it & then said I did show him but they didn't do it. Owner called & said he would call me next day & work something out.

Didn't finish till after midnight & I was only given $139 off at the time for trip fee. Owner never called me back. Charged $1020.00.   I have never had a move take 9.5 hours before and they were only moving about 15 miles between houses.  I don't understand why they didn't send another person when they realized they gave him the wrong form.

It's obvious from reading other complaints that this is something this company does.  they give you a quote and then take twice as long when they know that you're stuck and have to pay.  I filed a complaint with the BBB and they still refused to refund me the $300 difference (I'm being more than fair here and subracting off the. high end of their quote).
