Beware of UGA! They have ads plastered all over the place - Monster and Hotjobs. They are heavily spamming anyone who posts a resume! Their ads are completely deceptive!
UGA fact to be aware of:
1) The job is for selling health insurance. You will need to be licenced! That means YOU pay for classes and the exam! They will tell you at the interview that it's about business benefits for small employers. LIE! It is about selling health insurance! They mislead clients about the appointment! Check the lawsuits on Google!
2) They charge over $200 just to join their company! Don't believe the lies they tell you about this money. So many people quit that they need the money to run more ads!!!
3) LIES during the interview about support and free leads. The free leads are "B leads" which have been called over and over and over again! You WILL have to generate your own business by either buying internet leads or cold calling!!!
4) LIES about chargebacks. Managers state there are no chargebacks when in fact all chargebacks hit a debt account and you're charged 12% interest!!!
5) LIES about their competitors! They will claims to have the best plans, rates and commissions.
6) You must set physical appointments with all prospective clients and ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SEND CLIENTS ANY INFORMATION BEFORE THE APPOINTMENT!
7) You are not allow to leave any materials for the client to review. This is a one-shot-one-kill closing job!
8) This is 100% pure commission!
What to do if contacted by them!
1) Ask to compare commissions and plans with the other health insurance companies in the state.
2) Ask to take home their brochures so you can spend time reading over the coverage before you take the job.
3) Ask how many exclusive fresh leads will be given to you day 1 out of training.
4) Ask if you will be nailing pole signs up or cold calling.
