Ugly Duckling ripoff scam Grand Prairie Texas
I have bought two cars from Ugly Duckling. The first one was a 1993 Altima. I totalled it on August 21, 2001. My insurance company paid it off. I went back to Ugly Duckling to get another car. I picked out a 1996 Neon. Not even two weeks after I got it. They said they never received the payoff check from my insurance company for the Altima and if I didn't give up the neon they were going to have me arrested.
I even had a copy of the check that was signed by me from my insurance company to Ugly
Duckling. We gave the car back. But now it shows on my credit that the Altima is paid for and I am 9988.00 deliquent on the 1996 neon which I never kept.
