I am going to be brutally honest in my report.

I have an outstanding balance with on a Citicard since late last year, so I stopped using my card with the goals of getting financially secure and paying the balance off. I've heard some people say that once you're out of college for awhile the balances wont matter, but I'd rather not take a chance, and so I was and am planning on paying it off. But I've been hounded by 5-7 phone calls a day for the past six months-thats 5-7 calls a day, regularly. Ok. I owe money, I can deal with that. But it got out of hand about four days ago. I am a college student and I came home for spring break. My family had a message that they said was very important for me. It was from a "Mrs. Burrows" and it was supposedly for a job. It wa s a1-800 number so obviously I knew this was weird. i have my cell number on all my resumes so there is no reason for anyone to be calling my home number for a job. Anyway, I called and the representative who answered asked me for some information to confirm who I was. I did and I told them not to call my home number anymore becuase I dont really live here anymore. I willingly gave them my cell number so they could stop bothering my family. But then she went on to ask me about my job & my employer. I refused to tell her who my employer is. Why would I? Their intention was obviously to call my employer and humiliate me-is that even legal? I doubt it. I knew I was dealing with a disrespectful company. I hung up the phone at the prompt of my employer.

They called me a few more times and I didnt answer. They THEN called my home phone again! After I told them not to! My sibling picked up and handed the phone to me. The same young lady was on the phone. you would not beleive the way she spoke to me. "Do you want to hang up now? huh? huh? I dont have time to deal with this, so why dont you have your attorney get in touch with us!" I asked her -barely able to speak at the shock of her rudeness-why i would need an attorney. "You're committing fraud! It says here that you're 86 yrs old! Do you think we dont know that you're not?". I was STUNNED. me? committing fraud? 86 what? Why would I need to fraud anyone? I was so confused. I asked her what she was talking about. i maintained a respectable demeanor and tone, while she accuse dme of fraud and talked to me in a degraded tone. I oculdnt beleive a "professional" was talking to me this way. I told her I haf no idea what she was going on, although I acknowledged I owed Citi money. She continued to taunt me to hang up, while I told her there was no need for disrespect. I asked to speak with her supervisor, and she refused to transfer me, telling me to hang up and call back. I refused to do that for she was being blatantly rude. I adamantly asked to be transferred until she finally did. I thought I would speak with someone more mature and respectable-i thought.

Her supervisor came on, and I realized I needed to get proof of the harrassment that was to come. I wish I had a way of recording these conversations1 It was something from a prank show! When the supervisor came on, I asked for her name and she said it was Mrs. Pascal. I have no doubt in my mind that this is not he real name, because the reason I am sitting here writing this, si she just called my home number posing as Ms. Burrows. After I told her not to call my parents home. Anyway, I tried to explain to her how her employee had just disrespected me and had tried to accuse me of a crime I have not committed. She barely let me talk, let alone apologized and proceeded to hound me for the money in the same if not worse disrespectful manner as her employee, if she is even a supervisor. I have already gone into a lot of detail with this ordeal, and I would divulge more but I think you get the point. I am still in shock at the disrespect. The 'supervisor' accused me of not having tried to pay anything off or get help from parents etc. I believe that when I revealed I was a college student, to explain why I could come up with $600 in two days, she took advantage of it and hitched up the 'accusation and disrespect factor'. I told her that she was harassing me and that I could probably call the cops on her for that. So I asked her for the address of the company and she gave me an ultimatum saying,'I'll tell you when you tell me you will call me on Monday(in two days) and with $600'. I want to find out if any legal action can be taken for such behavior. I have no problem taking responsibility for my debt, but I should not be hassled, harassed and disrespected, and neither should my parents/employer. I am trying to track down their address.
