I recently had my pictures done by Portraits USA LLC. Come to find out it's the same company as this lady is talking about. They are still running the same scam. I went through all of the stuff she spoke of. Except the guy I originally spoke to hounded me into doing the offer. I got the Family picture as my package (I didn't get to choose) When my husband went to pick up the pictures, the lady there GAVE him a free picture because he did agree to getting the other pictures (very much feeling like he had been bullied by the sales rep) When I got home and found what we actually got for $400.00 I told him NO we need to cancel this and go to the other photographer we use for our pictures. I get quadruple the amount for $55.00. And they are better quality pictures as well. So the very next day I called the company, to no avail because no one was answering the phones that day. I waited the weekend and then called again on the monday. The lady that answered the phone acted confused and kept saying to me she was not sure what I was wanting. I JUST WANT TO CANCEL MY ORDER! Then she said oh all purchases are nonrefundable and you only have a week to cancel any orders. I told her that was great because it had only been two business days since the order had been placed. She told me at that point that I would have to speak to a manager she didn't even know how to find my paperwork.
Four days went by and I called again on the Friday, No answer on the phones again. So I left a message that if I didn't hear from them by monday I was filing a complaint with the BBB. Monday came and went they didn't call me. So I was on the phone tuesday. The lady answered and again acted like she knew nothing, when I informed her I was no longer playing these games with them I was just going to file with the BBB it jogged her memory a bit because she replied with oh yea I DID get your message and my Manager should be calling you by the end of today. The week went by AGAIN So I called again on the Monday. I didn't hear back from the manager until today 9/10/2013. When he called me on my cell phone, I was sitting at the bus stop waiting for my children. He proceeded to inform me the order would not be canceled because it stated quite clearly in the paperwork we signed that all sales are final, and I had only eight days to cancel my order. To which I replied that had he called me back sooner I would have been with in my eight day cancellation period. He then called me a liar and said I had not been waiting two weeks, and the paperwork we signed was a legal binding contract. I don't think so little man! (you will soon see why I call him that just wait) I informed him I had signed nothing, therefore he had no rights to force me to buy his products, I was deeply unsatisfied with both the product quantity and quality as well as his lack of customer service. He then asked me what I actually wanted because he didn't understand what I was getting at. Again!!!!! I want to cancel my order I was going to buy just the disk until I found out you wanted $200.00 for a disk containing maybe seven pictures. At which point he said I could not cancel my order because I didn't actually sign for it and he needed to talk to the "man of the house" who would know better than I what was good for my family and what was going on in my household. I lost it on that Chauvinistic pig. All he could say when I was done with him was WOAH! I then hung up and my husband called them back to confirm we wanted the order canceled. He was not going to do it until he was informed that he would in no way be getting any money from our bank account because it was now closed.
I would just like to add that my friend also had the pictures done on the same offer, she also wanted to change or cancel her order after thinking about quality and quantity. They actually right after her calling to speak to them tried to access her bank account BEFORE the set date. So she had to go in and deal with the bank fees and block this company from taking money from her account. They have no customer service skills, and offer a mediocre product for a very steep price. I would definitely agree with the lady above.

United Studios of America is hurting for money , if you have had any problems with them just call the store you were taken advantage of and talk to the store manager. This will insure that they are held accountable for their problems and they are good at problems. They have 38 ATTORNEY GENERAL complaints in the state of ohio alone, they are bankrupt, the owner and his wife are bankrupt, I bet they dont tell the stores that they do business in they have these issues.

Eli Cohen, you are yet another perfect example of the unprofessionalism that exudes from your company. Instead of apologizing for the horrible experience that one of your customers endured, you throw in some pathetic comment that you've copied and pasted in to almost every other post. This just proves the point- that your company lacks ethic, courtesy, and any remote sign of customer service skills. I didn't get what I paid for because the quality of the pictures was, quite frankly, mediocre, and not even worth the price I paid for them. Your photographers lack the skills to take remotely decent photographs. Do you just hire random college students off the streets who are looking to make a quick buck? And if that wasn't bad enough, the sales agent I dealt with was a total b***h and became extremely rude and aggressive with me when I refused to pay $600 for a mediocre package of photographs that I could have gotten from Sears or JC Penney for $100, if not less. If you're going to represent your company, at least attempt to do so in a professional manner. If a customer has a legitimate complaint, at the very least apologize for the inconvenience they've experienced, instead of trying (poorly) to turn it around on them, as if we're all just a bunch of whiners saying the exact same thing. That just goes to show the standards set by your company. And clearly we on RipOffReport.com are not the only ones who feel this way. When I called the main office for my local grocery store to complain (and let them know that by allowing your company to operate within their store that they'd be losing the trust and business of their own customers), they said that they received dozens of other similar complaints. Hmm...

So, you got some pictures made, they turned out well, you haggled with the portrait consultant and got a reduced price. Hmmm...
