Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I started with uop in january of "06" as a temp and always gave them 110%. The individual hired just 2 weeks before me was hired shortly thereafter. I was not hired till june 16th and had been given june 1st the task of distributing and maintaining the new vpn tokens. Now it is over 3000 persons all handled by me. I was awarded the company impact award while attending a top performer conference for my hard work.

I worked through my lunchs, came in early, and stayed late with no pay. On 01/16/08 I was denied lunch, yet again, and became very upset since it was an extremely stressful time and I needed the mental break. I was told to simply just take and hour of overtime in leu of lunch. I said I didn't want to do that this time as I needed a break. But unfortunately I was told to get to work and I would not get a lunch.

Frustrated, I went inside and snapped punching a whole in the wall. I did not intend to punch a whole in the wall, it was truely and accident that I immediately owned up too. Ultimately I was fired and no one that was present was even interviewed. They broke the law denying me a lunch, one of many that I have documented, and I was pressured into enrolling in their school.

The school is a joke, the first 2 classes I took I did little or no work and still passed. My kids are enrolled in online high school and I was shocked how much harder their classes were. UOP degree's are of little value and someone needs to look into that. The classes are horribly substandard and I believe UOP's title four funding should be seriously considered. This is the worst higher education I have ever come across. I am hoping a young hungry attorney will be interested in taking on the UOP giant and I am looking for a 6 figure settlement.

Hi, Let us set aside the fact that you lost your temper and was fired for damage to the wall; if this happened at home you would be arrested for domestic violence. Your spelling and grammar are in great need of improvement. If anyone wishes to be taken seriously, then he or she should learn the basic rules of the language, which he or she is fluent. If English is your primary language, then you should attend classes. I have attended classes at The University of Phoenix. Those classes were not easy. I agree that the school uses high pressure sales tactics to enroll as many students as possible. The other problem is that the school makes every effort to keep those students enrolled. Many of my fellow classmates were in dire need of remedial education, and should not have been allowed to matriculate. The school is for working adults with an eduction beyond high school. I do not recommend on-line classes for young adults or single parents. The stress of taking two classes at a time to meet the requirements to have any student loans or grants dispersed in a timely matter is great. If one can afford to pay for the classes out of one's pocket, then one only needs to take a single class at a time and has the option of taking a 29 day break between classes for personal needs. Discipline at work and at school is a must for one to be successful in life. In the business world there is a statistic that reveals that the more successful the individual the less vacation time and lunch breaks that individual takes. Basically hard work pays off. If one wishes to work nine to five and has four weeks vacation a year that person will find themselves working nine to five in that type of job for the rest of his or her life. I hope this has been of help to anyone wishing to take on-line classes. Respectfully, A former student

Sounds like you were a bad fit for the job. You are lucky they didn't put you in jail. Yuppie snit fits and temper tantrums don't cut it in real life. I learned a long time ago to take trail mix and bottled drinks with me to work and eat them at my desk. Works out for me. THESE DAYS YOU SHOULD BE LUCKY TO HAVE ANY KIND OF WORK!

I am confused, you were a violent employee AND a student? You were fired for punching a hole (not whole) in the wall. It doesn't matter the reason, you used violence. No employer will keep you because the next time you go off it might be on a person instead of a wall. For the school part, a basic spelling and grammar class would help you a great deal in the future. You are basing your opinion of the classes on "My kids are enrolled in on-line high school and I was shocked how much harder their classes were." That pretty much says it all

Hi name is Connie, I am trying to get to as many people as possible for a class action law suit. I had a major problem with these people and Iam not going to back down. I refuse to have to pay back all the student loans and not have a degree to show for it. Read complain dated 4-14-2009
