I purchased a 1968 Dodge Charger hood from Unlimited Products and took delivery Dec. 21st. We installed the hood March 5th 2009. With the front and rear of the hood flush the center of the hood is above the fenders. It's bowed almost 3/8".
I sent an e-mail with photo's showing them and explaining to them the problem. I requested a reply in how to proceed to return the hood for a replacement. I did want my money all I wanted was a good hood.
I called them March 9th because I did get a reply from them. Unlimted Products said (get this) they can't get pictures on e-mail but they got the written text. I said I will send the pictures to them UPS red. The pictures were received on March 12th. They did not want to admit they got them but I had proof and finally they admitted they got them. The next couple of weeks went bye and I called another dozens times, one time she told the owner has to review the pictures the next time she said the supervisor had to review the pictures. The lady on the phone said her name was Sonia and is apathetic liar and the invisable supervisor name was Maria. I think they are fake names.
Finally on March 21st Sonia said it must be returned before they can send out another hood. I said fine tell me how you want it done. Sonia said I well fax you a return goods form. Why didn't she tell me that and send me form going back to March 5th. I got the form the next day filled it out and faxed it back. They just were stalling the process until it went past the 90 days.
No reponse again so after several more calls she finally told it is now past the 90 day warranty and I cannot return the hood. I went nuts!!!
I asked if they cannot count? Dec. 21st to March 5th when contacted was not 90 days. Again I asked for the supervisor stayed hold for 30 minutes....called 4 more time no one would talked to me.
I have everything documented and plan on pursuring action. I have ways of finding who the owner is!
