Greetings from Japan!.
I would like to report that I was ripped off by USAFIS organization of whose sales person did soliciting through telephone. I registered through their online registration form on July 18th but did not proceed to the payment. Then a couple minutes after that a very insisting sales person with foreign accent called me and told me to proceed with my application.
He was so over zealous that I did not have any choice that to pay the amount he asked by using my credit card. I did not even have a chance to read the company's privacy & policy before making my payment. I paid 608 Euro for the fee and he said that he will send me an Immigration Bible. A couple days ago the what so-called "Immigration Bible" arrived at my house by Fed-ex and it was a language learning tool that has no relation with immigration issues at all. I have paid for something I do not wish to have. USAFIS has deceived me.
I called their customer service and asked their representative to cancel my application but they did not let me. I also asked for refund but they said that since my payment has been made it is impossible to refund my money. I was forced to give my credit card numbers through telephone by their over zealous and insulting sales person who was yelling at me through the telephone.
Yesterday I sent an email asking them to cancel my application and delete my personal data including my credit card numbers permanently from their network but I have not got any answers yet.
I am not talking about the guarantee of giving US green card because I know that USAFIS Organization does not guarantee it. I am talking about soliciting and fraud problem done by USAFIS salesman. I believe that telephone soliciting and sending a product that is different from the one that was described during telephone conversation is a against the law.
I would like to sue USAFIS Organization but do not know how to seek for legal advice since I am not living in the United States.
Please give me advice on how to sue this company.
