USBI One Call Comm,rippoff Fraudulent Charges USBI has put a charge on my phone bill that I did not make, after calling them they could not give me any information about the call at all. Internet Internet
USBI, One Call Comm. Placed a call on my phone bill, that I did not make. I called the company and the man I spoke with could not give me any information about the call at all.
In the area on the bill that says place called it says: Diego Garc, I asked where is this place, and was told that it is where the tower is that transmitted the call.
On the bill that says number called the number 2461247 is there, I asked what is the area code to the number because I do not know this number and he then told me that the number is not a phone number that it is a routeing number. I asked what is that? He said that it was the number that routed my call through the tower. I did not get any answers.
I was not statisfied with the "answers" I received and decided to get some answers on my on, and this is where is lead me. I found out that this is happening ALOT.

After I filed this report, I called my phone company and talked with them about this problem, they couldn't do anything about the charges because it is a third party company that had it placed on my bill. She did however place a block on my phone bill so no third party can bill me through them. Also she had the charges reverse back to USBI. (I was told that even though the blocked had been placed, I could still get billed my the third party by them sending a separte bill). (I already have a long-distance block on my phone) I then called back to USBI, talked with a woman about the charges, explained to her that I had called the day before and spoke with someone and go NO answers to any of my questions concerning this bill. She really didn't tell me a lot either except for things that I had read on the site here, that Diego Garcia is a island and that my computer called it. I told her that I didn't have my computer call anywhere, I still don't understand how this has happened, that I am not going to pay it, and that I have already done a little research about this company on my on and know that this is happening to people everywhere. Then she tells me that since I had no knowledge of the call, she could take this bill off, just once, and she would place a block my phone so that this doen't happen again. Seemed a little funny when I mentioned I had done a little checking up on this, she removes the charges. I was only charged $6.03 for 1 min., but I knew that this "call" was not made by me or a member of my family. I refused to be taken my people like this.
