I am also a victim of the USBI scam.

My July billing from Verizon carried a USBI charge from the United Kingdom for $45.43 (+$1.36 Federal & $2.73 State TAXES!!!!)Sounds familar...When contacting www.billview.com/usbi (via email), I received a reply the charges had been transfered to One Call Communication.

I contacted Verizon support and was transfered to their toll call department (1-888-243-9733)and disputed the charge and advised them I would only pay my actual usage charge. They advised I call One Call Communications (1-

800-472-8889) and dispute the charge with them directly. They also advised I get a confirmation# from them if the charge were removed.

Upon calling a very curt operator and explaining my complaint she asked if I would like these calls blocked to which I agreed. I needed to press to dispute the current charges and she "claimed" they would be removed and offered a confirmation number without my asking. I immedialtely called Verizon again and had them log this confirmation# on my account. Verizon said it may take 2 to 3 billing periods for the credit to appear.

Thankfully I am switching to a cable modem this week!

I will post again on the final outcome. THEY MUST BE STOPPED!
