I had the exact same experience as wendi in carthade ill.. so far it has comsumed more than a day of my time. I'm being billed 49.00 for something. What? i dont know. I do know that i live on a small fixed income and $49 is a big chunk of change for me. I have no intention of paying it I enjoy excellent credit and dont want to be scammed out of my money or my good credit

When i called USBI they repeated, literally, word for word what they told Wendi, That they could not tell me how to reach ONE CALL COMM for privacy reasons, and to go to my history list. I did. The only thing is my history list does not show date or time. USBI then had me call Dell, Dell had me call Microsoft. Microsoft may have been able to help me but they wanted $35, so they sent me to aol.

Eureka!! aol had a site for ONE CALL COMM. It turned out to be a small electronics company not associated with the company that is billing me.

Tomorrow i plan to hit the office of the attorney general of new York, to see if they have had reports beore. If I get any results I'll let you know. For now I'm still on the hook

You are not "still on the hook" for the charges. Have you contacted your telephone service provider (Verizon, etc.)? If not, you should do so immediately. They will remove the charge from your bill. They will advise you that the Third-Party may bill you separately, but you do not have to pay it with your current phone bill. Chances are the USBI/One Call COMM doesn't bother going after anyone separately; it looks like they just hope that there are enough people who do not look over their bills very carefully and just automatically pay the total printed on the bills.
