I too recieved fraudulent (30 dollars worth of charges) from USBI billing from One Comm.They were for a number in London England. Both SBC and USBI have been informed, and I am in the process of drafting a formal letter to AOL about this incident, as I feel they need to know that their consumers are at potential risk. I was credited by both SBC and USBI and will not have to pay the charges. This adware may contain a virus that will re-write or corrupt WIN.COM files, WIN.INIT files, or other parts of your System/System 32 files in addition to adding these charges. It may also may add changes to your Local User Registry files.It may not be detected by symantec or mcafee if you haven't kept your definitions up to date. Don't learn the way I did. Get anti-adware on your system and keep it current. And *always* keep autoprotect on.

My charges have been credited, but I won't be satified until USBI DISSAPEARS FROM MY SBC BILL AND MY LIFE FOR GOOD. Meaning I don't see USBI or bills from clients they serve on my telephone bill again.EVER. File with the FTC, IFCC and all the local public utilities agencies you can.Yell at SBC, recheck your bill, make complaints about their involvement and refusal to help resolve these charges easily.Do NOT PAY. These people will stop at nothing, and will try to confuse you. WHard evidenhat is even sadder is USBI fell for the same thing ESBI did. It's a matter of public *record*. see it here: http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2001/08/billing3.htm Everyone on this list should contact and browse the FTC website. Look for the information on telephone "cramming". Then consider filing a complaint as I have. Don't listen to any of these so-called "evidence" mongers. They want to trick you into forcing you to pay. Demand a specific list of the services you accessed, IP numbers, and what you specifically used . It's a requirement that most companies keep track of those things and should list them on the bill.

Part of customer service is to provide the customer with as much knowledge on the subject as. I can the only thing is that when i get a customer on-line i ask the general information then i tell them about One call network an what is the next thing is that the customer wnats to know. What kind of charge it actually is an the only thing i can tell them is that the way it look's on their bill is the way it looks on my screen the way it all works is that. Usbi services ton's of comapines an i asked my supervisor well if they service all sorts of compaines then. Why does this one form the United KIngdom is the only one to show up. They told me the same thing well it could be a bunch of different comapines in the United Kingdom. That's stupid its all hte same number when ever you recive a bill like this just say i want credit on my account an we have to give it to you. I even had the New York Times call me wanting Information on this subject. The FBI is involved in this matter. I am going to quit for the reasons that i dont want to be part of such a ruthless company. I have to go but i'll write more on the subject after i leave.

After thinking things over, I decided to file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office of Wisconsin and some other agencies. A fellow aol user had similar behavior happen in terms of his computer and I have advised them they might be socked with fraudulent charges in the manner I was, and clearly, many others have been. Aol, when I asked them about some unusual things happening when I logged on, said it was "just adware", and I should update my spyware protection, and that it posed no danger to me in terms of dialers or possible fraudulent charges.This was at least a week or more prior to the faux billing dates. Then the USBI charges arrived. I'm also looking into class action lawsuits, and if there is such a think as multistate class action in cases like this. I find it hard to believe this is still going on. If you are an aol user and have had this happen, It's clear their security isn't that great. If you're an aol rep reading, sorry, but it had to be said. I may have been stupid and had to learn the hard way, but that doesn't mean others should have to.
