To Whom It May Concern,
US Merchant Systems is a member of the BBB with an A rating. We have been in business for over 16 years and most of our new business has been mainly from referrals from other happy clients of ours.
In response to this Merchants complaint, I must advise you that with any credit card processor, a merchant must sign an agreement agreeing to processing a certain approved monthly volume and average sale amount. This is similar to a credit card company giving a cardholder a line of credit. If a merchant processing credit cards that exceeds their approved parameters, it poses a risk to the merchant service provider, credit card issuer, and the credit card holder. This requires a review of the account. Once the merchant service provider determines there is no risk on the account, they may decide to release the funds to the merchant, increase the approved parameters for the merchant or hold funds for a certain amount of time and then release.
No Merchant Service provider likes to hold funds from a merchant. However, per Visa and Mastercard regulations we must do anything in our power to limit the risks to the cardholder and card issuing banks. I hope that this response helps you understand better how Merchant Services works. We hope that you do not let this report affect your decision of choosing us as your Preferred Merchant Service Provider.
