Vacation International Professionals/Platinum Key Plus Went bankrupt in 11/2008, took our $5596 and ran! Myrtle Beach South Carolina
My husband and I went to the lengthy presentation in Myrtle Beach on November 10, 2007. We were also pressured to purchase the vacation package.
Our vacation package cost $5596 for one year and included a choice of five different get-aways as a member of VIP Travel. This is all proved to be a hoax and all forms of contact with the Sr. Director of Travel, Ms. Tiffany Shepperd. Early on we did receive emails with hot deals but have not heard from them.
It has been over a year and still no contact after numerous calls and follow ups through BBB and County Licensing Dept, and Consumer Affairs of Myrtle Beach, SC. We found out through these contacts that VIP Travel in Myrtle Beach filed Bankruptcy in November of 2008.
Being retired and all the plans to utilize this service for vacation travel have expired with a large loss of our funds, $5596. In addition, the free travel turned out to be a false advertisement since none of the airlines, hotels, etc., were aware of this certificate for travel.
