Vacation Tree TIMESHARERENTORSELL COM LLC False representation and high fees El Cajon, California
We were contacted by "Vacation Tree" also known as timesharerentorsell.com about selling our timeshare. They asked for $675 for marketing fees in order to help sell our timeshare, informing us that it would likely sell within 3 to 4 months and most were selling at $50-65 per point, and if it didn't sell within a year, they would make us an offer based on the current market price. We own 220 pts, and would have been happy if we could have gotten $40 per point. Well a year later, we got our offer. $0.50 per point. $110 and we would have to pay the rest of 2012 maintenance fees $500 in transfer fees. So basically we would have to pay $390 to get rid of it. There is no doubt in my mind that they were deceptive in their up front promises and knew that the timeshare would never sale. They are bilking customers on the front end and the back end.
