Vacations Direct, Inc. / Sara Sweeney They Lie About Their Guarantee and Marketing Daytona Beach / Ormond Beach Florida
This is one company to stay away from.
I signed a contract with Vacations Direct Inc, when I was told they guaranteed I would receive at least one valid offer on my timeshare within 90 days or I would get a full refund. I also wrote on the contract that I would receive the valid offer or get my money back. I paid with AMEX card on Saturday. On Monday I called AMEX and said I wanted to hold the payment and I Emailed them canceling the contract. That night I received a call William Kappas and again I was assured I would have no problem getting my money back if I did not receive at least one valid offer. I called Amex and released the money. Two days later they sent me a second contract which I signed and returned. After 90 days I did not hear a word from them so I Emailed them saying I expected my money back. After talking with William Kappas he connected me with Sara Sweeney who said that even though I did not receive an offer I must prove they failed to meet their marketing commitment. However there is no place where thier marketing commitment is spelled out.
Here is one of the Emails I received:
If you would like to speak to me in regards to the issue you are having then I would be more than happy to. I am here to assist you in this matter therefore I am not going to be going back and forth about which agreement you think does or does not matter. Fact of the matter is you disputed the charge and did not win the chargeback. We have the supporting documents that we need to take this however far you would like to. I apologize that you became unhappy with your decision to put your timeshare on the market with Vacations Direct, Inc. However, we are marketing your property and are able to provide you with the proof if you are interested in seeing it. Thank you so much for your time with this matter.
