Van Zandt Agency Robert Van Zandt received My Federal Refund for 2008 and did not file My NY State income tax Bronx, New York
I became a Client of Van Zandt Agency to file my Income Taxes through a recommendation from My Daughter, as she had filed her taxes with them before. I was happy and went a few years, learned that the Preparer Fern died suddenly from a Heart Attack. When I went to file 2008 I filed with a Man named Jaime, there was a lot of confusion as he was training people and papers were being passed from one desk to the other, I had a bad feeling about it. I paid the fee of $200.00 and knew that I owed NY State $330.00, it was recommended that I apply for an early return to get the Federal refund early and pay the State early, so I agreed signed everything and left feeling all was well. I never got my Federal refund and did call to no avail, I then was contacted maybe a year later by NY State that I owed money with penalties. I still tried to contact and speak to Robert Van Zandt, I was helped by Jaslynne(no longer there) she danced me around for another 9 months. I called IRS and was advised that my Refund went directly to Van Zandt Agency. The original amount I was to receive was $614.00, I called Van Zandt and was told that it had been amended in April of 09, ok then why did I pay $185.00 for an early return? that I never got and then it was amended, who signed it? I did not! They then told me it was now $436.00 that I was supposed to get, less the $185.00 and then they said I did not pay, oh yes I did, but I found on my own that the check was never cashed.
Van Zandt Agency is under investigatuion from the FBI fir keeping peoples refund monies. The Son was found shot in the head and it was ruled a Homocide, as he was involved with notorious people in the Bronx. The story can be verified online. I am still out my refund they never submitted my NY State return and I have a serious problem the penalties are racking up and I am unemployed. regardless I want my money and they will not even accept my calls anymore. They have contacted my Daughter and asked her if she is coming back, no way!!
